MY HANDS:

I have suffered from a form of Dermatitis on my hands for many years now. My hands are extremely dry and rough, knuckles very red, I often have cracked skin on my fingers and knuckles which is incredibly painful , and the skin in general feels tight and looks very aged (they tend to get worse in winter months).

I made several trips to the doctors when i was younger and tried many different creams, Derma / E45 / Simple / Vaseline Intensive Hand-cream , Baby oil... but nothing seemed to be that effective. Hand Lotions were too thin/ not intense enough for my needs. Baby Oil was way to greasy.

About 5 years ago a friend introduced me to Hemp Hand protector. She had been suffering from the same symptoms and said it had worked wonders for her. I was doubtful at first, but anything was worth a try so i purchased Hemp Hand Protector... and i have never looked back!

THE PRODUCT:

HEMP HAND PROTECTOR as described on the tube is 'Heavy duty moisturisation, protection and repair for EXTREMELY DRY SKIN'.

The product is packaged in a metal type squeezy tube with an image of a cannabis leaf on the front.

Among the ingredients are Community trade Hemp Seed Oil from England & Community trade beeswax. The Hemp Seed Oil is the magic ingredient as it contains essential fatty acids which helps the skin remain soft.

The cream is a light mint green colour, quite thick, with a fluffy texture. It also has a very slight smell of Hemp Seed oil. The cream blends in really quickly and is non greasy!

As with all Body Shop Products, the cream has not been tested on animals.

30ml costs £5.00
100ml costs £10.00

I would recommend buying the larger size as it works out much cheaper for the amount of cream you are getting.

I do feel that the hand-cream is a little on the expensive side, but the benefits well out-way the cost for me! Whilst i am happy to pay full price for this product, i still tend to look out for special offers and then bulk buy.

OVERALL:

Hemp Hand Protector is the best, most effective hand cream i have come across. Non-greasy, pleasant enough smell, soaks in quick. The results are instant, as soon as i have put the cream on my hands feel instantly replenished, and my skin feels free.
I use the hand cream frequently throughout the day and put a little extra on before i go to bed, so that it can work it's magic overnight.
With continued use, my hands have cleared up well, They have lost some of the redness and don't tend to crack as much as they used to. They are also a lot less painful.
I know that the cream is not a cure for my dermatitis, but it certainly helps!
