Advantages: Lasts a long time, works miracles on your hands

Disadvantages: The smell is not for everyone!

In the last couple of years (ish), I have started paying a lot more attention to my skin and moisturising it a lot more regularly than I used to. I have always been a big fan of Body Shop products as I find them excellent and natural smelling compared to other cosmetic brands. I went into the shop for a wander one day and I ended up trying it and falling in love with it. As soon as I had been paid next, I went and bought myself a tube. It was around £10 a tube, which is quite excessive for a tube of hand cream, but I was pretty confident that I was investing in a quality product. I guessed I would find out shortly. I have also since purchased other tubes of this cream at £5 - it seems to frequently be on offer for 50% off, yet the staff always tell me that it is one of their best sellers. At £5 I can say that it is definitely a steal, but onto my review of the product itself....

The packaging is still as above and it looks more expensive than it actually is, not unlike L'Occitane packaging. The cream itself is quite thick and you only need a very small amount, so the tube does go a long way. The smell itself is quite hard to describe. Having never tried the drug myself, I can only comment that it smells very natural and raw. There was a guy at uni who used to smoke insane amounts of it and I remember his grinder smell; that is very much like this cream. Some say it smells like freshly cut grass, if that helps for people who have never experienced the smell. This cream can be quite sickly if used on a frequent aka daily basis, I sometimes take a break from it as I find myself cringing at the smell after a month or so of daily use.

My hands get dry very quickly as I use them for many chores and errands on a daily basis; I think that it is so important to take care of your hands as you do use them for so many things. Cleaning liquids and gels, handling lots of paper, long walks on a col and windy beach....they all play a part in ruining my poor mits, hence the reason I find it important to give them some rehab. I apply this cream on a daily basis at night time when I go to bed. It sinks into my skin pretty quickly and my hands never feel greasy. The smell lingers for quite a while, which is lovely for a while but I generally take a break every month or so for a few days. I can always still smell them in the morning. My skin gets really, really dry to the point where it can crack as I sometimes I over wash my hands between chores. I find that this cream offers instant relief to my skin, it revitalises it and makes it feel silky smooth right away after the cream has been absorbed into my skin.

A tube of this cream generally lasts me about 3 months or so and I do use it quite liberally when my hands are in desperate need of TLC, but people with regular skin could get away with using smaller quantities and making it last even longer. I always keep a tube in my handbag for when my hands are in need during the day and it has become a beauty must for me.

Summary: Highly recommended
