Advantages: Really moisturising, lasts all day, need very little

Disadvantages: Price can be a little off putting

I suffer from really dry skin on my hands and the problem worsens considerably during the winter. I've tried lots of 'cheaper' hand creams (around the £3/4 mark) and none of them have worked as magnificently as this wonderful Body Shop one. Even the ones which have claims of 'intensively moisturising' skin just aren't up to the job.

It does work out to be quite an expensive hand cream - I usually buy a tube for £10 and it lasts me the entire winter and sometimes a bit longer after that. The texture of the handcream itself is actually really thick and I find that a pea sized amount can cover both hands and a little bit of my arms. I do have rather small hands, however, but I think that it will last equally as well for people with normal sized hands. When considering the price vs. how long the product lasts, I'd say that you get incredible value for money. Often you can buy these on special offers such as a 3 for 2, so I'd recommend that you stock up for even better savings. I'm pretty sure you can also buy this hand cream in a miniature size (I might be mistaken) but it's a good idea if you want to try the hand cream first without shedding out a tenner.

The smell of the hand cream is quite hard to describe. It's not particularly 'weedy' but its just a sort of mild herby type smell. It's not entirely unpleasant and certainly won't get you stopped by a sniffer dog. I think the smell is perfect for a hand cream. I think these are the type of products you don't want to have a strong smell - it should be saved for things like perfume or shampoo etc. The cream isn't oily and soaks in really well and I personally don't notice it's there to be honest. Some hand creams I've tried don't soak in and leave my hands feeling like they've got an oil slick covering them. It's so incredibly moisturising and I've found that I only have to apply it once in the morning and it can protect my hands throughout the day. Occasionally you may have to use it again, but it generally lasts!

This product is so perfect if you suffer from dry skin on the hands. I'd say buy this instead of trying various cheaper hand creams - they will never work as well as this one!

Summary: Totally worth it!
