I got this hand cream in a gift set box, although I would not buy it otherwise, I was really impressed. The smell is obviously amazing like the perfume and before I started using the hand cream I was finding my hands getting dry so i started using it and over a period of a week I found my hands were back to normal, which I was surprised as I have used other brands of perfume hand cream and they normally make it worse. My sister has used it once, I would not advise anyone to use it if you have exma as it made her hands red and very sore, it took about a week for her hands to go back to normal. Apart from that I would highly recommend the hand lotion/gel to anyone without skin problems as i found it did work and made my hands feel and smell Devine!!!
Thierry Mugler started off as a fashion designer in the 1960s. Before releasing a collection of fragrances, Thierry turned his hand to photography and directing. ~Angel~ I'm sure that Angel is the most well known fragrance that Thierry Mugler offer. Released in 1992, this was Muglers debut fragrance and is still very popular today. The Angel collection includes an eau de parfum, eau de toilette, shower gel, body lotion/cream, hair mist and also a hand cream to allow you to layer the scent effortlessly. Angel is described as being an 'oriental gourmands' scent due to the food like notes that are blended together. The scent includes fragrance notes such as fruit and honey, chocolate, vanilla and patchouli. Caramel also features. This classic scent is blended into the Perfuming Hand Cream which I will be discussing today. Thierry Mugler claim that this hand cream will penetrate the skin to provide long lasting moisturisation. It should protect the skin against dryness and tightness and leave them soft and smooth. The gorgeous Angel scent should remain present after use. ~Design~ The Angel collection isn't hard to miss. The majority of the Angel products are presented in star themed bottles. Presenting the hand cream in this way wouldn't really be convenient. The hand cream is presented in a baby blue tube with a silver screw off lid. The tube is simplistic yet stylish with black and silver detailing. ~Price and Availability~ Angel Perfuming Hand Cream is available in a 100ml sized tube from the following stockists : *www.escentual.com - £14.00 *House of Fraser - £16.50 *Debenhams - £13.75 ~My Thoughts~ I will admit that I had never been a fan of Angel until a few years ago when my sister presented me with a small bottle. It is definitely a love or hate scent and it had to grow on me. I have tried various Angel products and the latest product to grace my beauty box is the Perfuming Hand Cream which I own several deluxe samples of. The samples, I may add, are presented in even more stunning packaging than the full size tube! Although quite expensive for a hand cream, I believe this hand cream is totally worth the high cost and would make a gorgeous gift for any Angel fan in my opinion - you could splash out and buy the full range of Angel products should you be inclined! I own several hand creams as my hands dry out so quickly. I tend to use regular, lightly scented creams such as Soap and Glory and Nivea so I was pleased to have a perfumed hand cream in my collection. I did have reservations at first that the additional perfume may agitate my sensitive skin but I needn't have worried. ~Texture, Application and Scent~ You certainly do not need a lot of this hand cream to perform to a top quality standard. It is definitely different to regular hand creams. It is a baby blue colour and incredibly rich and thick. I use a small amount whenever I want some proper indulgence for my hand. The cream feels amazing on my dry hands! It spreads well, coating my hands in a soothing, creamy layer which feels very moisturising and indulgent. My hands feel incredibly pampered and I always take the time to massage this particular hand cream in for quite a while. The cream soaks into the skin quickly and despite being so rich, it does feel heavy or greasy at all. It absorbs completely and leaves no trace behind. My hands feel hydrated and perfectly smooth. I can detect a powdery, matte finish and my hands do feel like they have been treated to a well needed moisture drink. This hand cream is very effective at soothing and eliminating dry areas and has worked wonders around my palms. My nails look more healthy thanks to this hand cream too. I have been impressed by the quality of this hand cream and the effects last throughout the day with no need to reapply. The scent of this hand cream is very strong and heavily perfumed. It is exactly the same as the Angel perfume and I absolutely love it. Angel is such a classic scent and I can notice it a mile off when someone is wearing it. Of course the hand cream is a little more subtle in terms of strength compared to the EDP, but it is more fragrant than any other hand cream I have previously used. It is very foody and deliciously rich. The best fragrance notes from the Angel scent shine through here including creamy vanilla blended with patchouli and a slightly bitter chocolate overtone. It won't appeal to all and carries a heavy sweetness but to me it is amazing. The scent lasts very well and can still be noticed 6 hours after application which to me, is brilliant. The scent does change during this time and dips in and out of the chocolate and vanilla scent. It has a sort of sweet, nutty tinge at one point and is remains at a gorgeous, noticeable level throughout its time on my skin. ~Conclusion~ Overall I can recommend this high quality hand cream if you are a fan of the Angel fragrance. If you aren't then you will likely be unimpressed as it is an acquired scent. The hand cream performs well and I use this when I want to treat my hands to a bit of indulgence and something more appealing than a run of the mill hand cream. I cannot fault it and have just ordered a tube as a treat to myself! It is the most stunning hand cream I have ever had the pleasure of using. Recommended! Thanks for reading x
