Treacle Moon is a range of bath and body products. They offer different scented products which are split into collections which include 'The Raspberry Kiss' and 'That Vanilla Moment'.
*~Those Lemonade Days~*
This collection has a body scrub, shower gel and a hand wash. I am reviewing the Gentle Hand Wash.
This hand wash is presented in a chunky plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The bottle has a little saying on it 'that warm sunny feeling...you know the one...when for no proper reason your tummy just goes all weird and you grin like a silly hen' - a bit weird and definitely unusual!
This hand wash (like the other Treacle Moon products) hasn't been tested on animals and is perfectly suitable for vegetarians to use.
A 500ml bottle can be purchased from Tesco. It retails at £2.49 though is currently on offer at just £1.66.
Now that I shop at Tesco more often than I do Asda, I miss all the N-Spa products. Fear not though - Tesco offer a very similar range! I have been introduced to the delights of Treacle Moon. I love trying new hand washes so picked this one up around 6 weeks ago. I have bought another few this week when I spotted them on offer and it should be enough to do me through the Summer!
I bought this particular hand wash as I love the smell of lemon. I feel that even at £2.50, this product is well worth the cost as I've been using one bottle for the 6 weeks and it is still half full. I normally use Dove or Imperial Leather but this bright yellow hand wash looks very appealing and Summery in my bathroom and is far from being boring in appearance. I appreciate the pump dispenser and it hasn't clogged on me yet which is always a good sign.
This hand wash doesn't claim to be anti-bacterial or anything. I use this in my bathroom and use a different kind in my kitchen. With 2 adults and 1 hyperactive toddler (who loves to squirt too much hand wash out hehe), this hand wash is used several times a day.
One or two pumps of hand wash is sufficient to fully cleanse my hands. The hand wash itself has has a medium consistency - it flows well but isn't too drippy and messy. The hand wash lathers up well on my hands and produces a soft and creamy lather which feels very cleansing and refreshing. It rinses well leaving no residue and my hands always feel super clean afterwards. I wouldn't say this hand wash moisturises my hands but it doesn't dry them out either. I apply hand cream throughout the day anyway. This hand wash removes dirt/food from my hands with ease.
The scent of this hand wash won't appeal to all but I absolutely love it. It is very bright and playful and doesn't come across as sickly or unnatural. The scent is more sherbet lemon than lemonade in my opinion. It has a lovely sweet aroma with a slightly bitter undertone. It doesn't last all that long on my hands but it does leave them smelling very clean.
Overall I can recommend this hand wash. It performs well and lasts well so is value for money in the long run. My son uses this and it doesn't irritate his sensitive skin. The bright colour is attractive to him as well and seeing it on the sink, he always knows to give his hands a good wash after using the toilet.
Recommended - thanks for reading :)
Oh my goodness, I am a new convert to everything Treacle Moon. This brand is not new to me - I have used stuff from their range before and I always see their eyecatching logo on the shelves whenever I do my weekly shop in Tesco. The Lemonade Days Handwash though is something I hadn't tried until fairly recently - and I have to say how glad I am that I picked up a bottle of this lovely handwash.
It cost me £2.47 (but I have seen them on offer for £2 each) for a 500ml plastic bottle. The bottle is transparent so you can clearly see the lovely yellow handwash inside the bottle and it comes with a black pump dispenser. I have a bottle in the bathroom and another bottle in the bathroom cabinet (for when I run out).
I have been telling all my friends and family about this delightful handwash as I feel it is something a bit different and I simply adore the lovely fresh lemon scent. I find that with a lot of these handwash lotions and potions they can smell a little bit man-made. This is not the case with this particular brand however. The smell of fresh lemons is really very intense and so life-like that you would be forgiven for thinking that you could actually eat this product.
It feels like a little touch of luxury every tinme I use it and it is kind and soft and gently on my skin. I only need to use a very small amount (one little pump from the dispenser usually does it) and it creates a lovely rich soft lather on my hands and gently rinses off afterwards.
I really cannot possibly do the aroma of this handwash justice in this review (I wish it was a scrach and sniff review!) because I think you have to smell it for yourself to really appreciate how lovely and fresh the smell is. It is intense, but not overpowering and I think Treacle Moon have got it just right with this product.
I am busy working my way through the rest of the Treacle Moon products and so far I have not been disappointed with any of them. They sound like a fun company and their products are a delight to use - this one in particular is now one of my favourites.
Really recommended - you must try it to see for yourself how lovely it is!

Whilst shopping in my local Tesco Extra a few weeks ago, I decided to treat myself to a more luxurious hand wash to that of my normal brand. The first bottle that caught my eye was that of treaclemoon those lemonade days.
I carried out a little research on this organisation, particularly as I had never heard of them before and learned that they are owned by a company named Blue Orange and consist of a small team.
I was surprised to discover that they have created brands such as The Sanctuary, Nicky Clarke and Elle Macpherson. Their website is extremely entertaining and very eye-catching as in the left hand corner you will see a moving image of a cat as they inform us that they do not test on animals, just people! In the lower right hand side, we see a gnome and his moving fishing rod!
Back to the product - the bottle is absolutely stunning and is manufactured from a sturdy transparent plastic, which allows us to see the 500ml of vivid yellow contents. The marketing on the bottle is all in lower case, with no signs of any capital letters and in my opinion, this makes treaclemoon rather unique.
The words "those lemonade days" are displayed in black text at the upper section of the bottle and underneath are a few lines to resemble that of typewritten text, which state "that warm sunny feeling ... you know the one ... when for no proper reason your tummy just goes all weird and you grin like a silly hen". I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean, but nevertheless, it's quite funny and always make me smile when I catch a glimpse of the bottle on my bathroom shelf.
We are advised that this gentle hand wash is suitable "for cooks, gardeners and sticky mitts".
The logo of "treaclemoon" with a number of circles located above the letter "n" is situated at the lower part of the bottle and provides the finished look. Other than the orange circles and the orange word "treacle", all of the lettering on the bottle is in an eye catching black bold text.
There is quite a large amount of humorous wording on the rear of the bottle as treaclemoon inform us that they had a team meeting, as they wanted to provide us with an extra special scrumptious hand wash.
This is clearly a fun-loving brand as we are informed that treaclemoon carried out a product study on their gardener, Charles, who reported that after using the hand wash, he found scratching his head somewhat softer!
We are also advised not to eat the hand wash and you will understand the reason for this warning when you are greeted with its' stunning aroma.
The hand wash is easily dispensed via the black plastic push down pump and it is of a fairly thick consistency. I was absolutely stunned when I first smelled this product, as it is simply gorgeous and extremely uplifting. In fact, I would describe the fragrance as delicious as the aroma of fresh lemons is so realistic and actually does smell good enough to eat! It reminds me of one of those posh cafes where you are able to choose gorgeous flavoured milkshakes and smells identical to a lemon one that I had years ago.
The hand wash provides a fast and plentiful lather and I found I only needed one press of the pump to provide a sufficient amount to thoroughly and effectively wash both hands. Each time I use this hand wash, the subtle fragrance of lemon remains on my hands for a good while afterwards and in my opinion, this is extremely luxurious.
I was surprised to see there is quite an extensive range of treaclemoon products available, such as body butters and shower gels and I intend sneaking a few into our shopping trolley over the next few weeks!
Why not check out the treaclemoon website and see the range for yourself, which in my opinion, is extremely affordable.
Whilst their website provides a price of £2.47 for this gorgeous hand wash, I would advise that it is currently on offer in Tesco for just £2. I don't normally tend to buy expensive hand washes, particularly as they don't seem to last five minutes in my house, but it's lovely to be able to treat yourself once in a while, wouldn't you agree?
Consequently, treaclemoon those lemonade days gentle hand wash receives a full 5 out of 5 dooyoo stars from me.
I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
I had never heard of this brand before and noticed it in Tesco's one day. It comes in a big 500ml bottle and was around £2.
Handwashes are usually something you just fling in the trolley without giving tham a lot of thought but a lot of them smell like washing-up liquid or like a horrible synthetic flowery smell. Even worse it can be that horrid pink carbolic stuff you find in some public toilets (yuk)! But I have to say that you really do notice the difference with this product.
The bottle has a really handy pump dispenser on it and one pump is plenty to get a good lather. On the front there is a little mini story (reminds me of the stuff written on Philosophy products if you've ever seen it). The handwash is a bright lemon yellow colour which can be seen through the clear plastic.
Although there is not any real lemon extracts in this according to the ingredients, it does not smell synthetic. It has a really zesty but slightly sweet lemon smell almost like lemon curd but more lemony. You get a nice thick foamy lather from it and it leaves the most delicious fresh smell on your hands. I use it even after cooking and it does a good job of getting rid of strong smelling stuff like garlic and onions.
Leaves your hands soft, clean and smelling lovely and it lasts such a long time. For the price, this soap is great value and you will definately think twice before chucking any old handwash into your trolley after using it.
There's nothing more boring than handwash you may think, let's face it most of the bottles of handwash out there are pretty bland. There's a new player in the market that makes washing your hands a little bit more fun. The handwash I am referring to is Those Lemonade Days from the Treacle Moon range.
The Treacle Moon products are only available in Tesco which is a bit of a pity as they are brilliant. The products are all cruelty free and the company supports a charity called Khandel which helps vulnerable Indian women. Normally you have to pay big bucks to get a product with these kind of credentials but my bottle of handwash cost just £2 for 500ml.
Treacle moon have a unique way of creating products as they are created by Charles Henry Nelson, a garden gnome and Matilda Fizzbucket a chemist who owns a cat with turquoise whiskers. This unlikely duo certainly have a talent for creating hadwash.
I love the fact that the handwash is bright yellow which contrasts nicely with the black pump dispenser, it does not match my bathroom decor but it certainly looks lovely and sunny and cheerful and makes you smile every time you see it.
Looking good is not much use unless the product also works well and I'm delighted to say that These Lemonade Days gets my hands squeaky clean. The yellow soap is reasonably thin and just a couple of pumps is ample to clean your hands. The soap smells utterly wonderful, a strong lemon smell which really does also smell fizzy. Many citrus fragrances can be a bit sour and harsh but this lemon is a lovely gentle and sweet smell, the first thing that it reminded me of when I smelled it was lemon meringue pie.
I have very dry skin and when I use the wrong products my hands get very sore and cracked so I'm always cautious about using new products but Those Lemonade Days manages to leave them squeaky clean and feeling nice and soft without irritating or drying them out at all. I've certainly given this handwash a run for it's money as my hands are always caked in dirt when I've done some weeding or planting and it copes brilliantly with even the grubbiest mitts.
I love Those Lemonade Days handwash, it smells divine, cleans my hands and makes me smile a little bit when I use it making it an affordable way to give yourself a little treat. At just £2 a bottle it's a real bargain. I'm trying out the other handwashes in the range right now but I know I will also buy this one again.
I'm always on the lookout for new beauty products that I haven't tried, and especially those which look fairly pretty as well! My eye was immediately caught by this product when I was browsing for a new handwash for my bathroom in Tesco simply because of its gorgeous bright yellow colour and funky looking packaging! Even better was the fact it was on special offer so my huge 500ml bottle set me back only £1. I eagerly tried it when I got home and was so impressed with the handwash I went out and bought another one in a different fragrance!
Treacle Moon are a relatively new company, I haven't heard of them before I saw these products in Tesco. Apparently, Tesco is the only place that I can get these products in terms of shops but they are available online from their website as well although they do work out a little more expensively if you purchase them this way. They're owned by another company who have worked for Nicky Clarke, Umberto Giannini and The Sanctuary amongst others so you can rest assured these are high quality products at very affordable prices.
The handwash I picked up was called "These Lemonade Days" and is a bright yellow liquid inside a clear plastic bottle. This contains 500ml of the soap so should last quite a while. There is a black pump dispenser at the top which screws on and you can also lock by turning to the side as well, handy when you have toddlers who like to insensently pump it for no good reason down the plughole. The name of the product is in bold black lettering and really stands out, and there's a small verse on the front as well. It's a really funky looking bottle, and is one you will proud to have in your bathroom or kitchen alongside the sink.
When I first used the product, I couldn't believe what a gorgeous scent it had. Sometimes when you smell a product in the bottle it smells a lot stronger than when you use it, but it wasn't the case with this product. The yellow liquid was a good consistency, not too thick but not too runny either, and was a really bright yellow. I rubbed the handwash between my hands and the smell intensified which was great. It did create a good lather quite easily, which is good because we have hard water around here and I felt the handwash spread easily across both my hands. I only needed one pump and this was plenty for me, although for a stronger fragrance you could use more.
The smell lasted on my hands for a good while after as well which I think is very good. Some handwashes smell lovely but the scent disappears quite fast but not with this one. After I had rinsed it off and dried my hands on the towel, I could smell the fresh lemon scent, not as strongly as when I had the soap on my hands but still strong enough. It left my skin feeling really soft and not at all dried out, even with regular use it doesn't do my skin any harm. Harry also used this product when he needs to wash his hands and it's been fine on his young skin too which is good as I don't need to buy 2 separate products. I've found it very good at removing smells such as onion and garlic from my hands when I've been cooking as the lemon smell is nice and strong so its worth having one in your kitchen if you do a lot of home cooking too.
If you want a great soap that cleans your hands thoroughly and fully , and that comes with a funky bottle too, then head to Tesco and get yourself a bottle of 'These Lemonade Days'. The gorgeous yellow bottle won't be missed on your sink, and the smell will makes your hands nice and fresh, and soft too. It seems to be lasting well, with it only going donw a small amount despite 3 of us using it, perhaps as we only need 1 pump at a time. My only complaint is that the pump part might be a little cheap feeling and not that smooth, but its a minor irritation and doesn't stop us using the soap properly at all. I love this soap, and have purchased the Coconut variety as well which is just as nice. For the price, its a great soap and one I highly recommend.
Treacle Moon produce a handwash, shower gel and body scrub in each of the 5 varieties, priced between £2.47 and £2.97.
Other varieties include:
That Vanilla Moment
The Raspberry Kiss
One Ginger Morning
My Coconut Island

Thank you for reading.
A couple of weeks ago my boss gave each of us a Treacle Moon shower gel as a little present. My shower gel was 'Those Lemonade Days' by Treacle Moon, something I always wanted to try. I love yellow, limoncello and in general everything with lemon - so there is really no better shower gel for me. I absolutely loved the look and the smell and within days I was back at Tesco's and bought the lemonade hand wash and the body scrub for 2 pound each as they are on offer.
The hand wash really didn't disappoint me, the smell is so lovely and refreshing, it doesn't make my hands dry and it's so soft that I can also use it as a face cleaner.
The yellow bottle looks great on my bathroom shelf and I think that I found my new favourite body care range - let's hope they bring out a body lotion as well.
The hand wash comes in a big, round bottle and you can see the lovely yellow colour of the gel. The first time I saw it I instantly had to think of limoncello - an Italian liqueur made from sunny Sicilian lemons. The colour is absolutely stunning and I'd love to paint the walls of my room in exactly this shade of yellow.
On top is a black nossel to squirt the soap out and on the front you have this little cute story printed.
The smell is really the best, a lovely smell of lemon with a light sweetness similar to the smell of a good quality lemon curd. With this look and this smell it's no wonder that the label tells us "Please don't eat this product ... it's for your skin only"
When used it creates a lovely foam and just makes me happy with this refreshing smell.
I am absolutely convinced by 'those lemonade days', not only does it make my hands very soft, has a lovely refreshing smell and is not too expensive but it also wasn't tested on animals!
Treacle Moon products look just so great on the shelf that every time I'm doing my shopping I'm finding myself in front of it wanting to buy everything - literally everything in every colour and with every fragrance. They always seemed to be so expensive - 2.49 for a bottle of bottle of hand wash is just too much. But - and here's the big but - it's for 500ml. In a normal bottle of hand wash you have 250ml and let's admit it, most hand soaps smell just plain horrible and boring.
If you are quick you can get the Treacle Moon products for 2 Pound at Tesco's at the moment; the offer is valid until the middle of September and covers all TM products.
2 pound for 500ml of hand wash is an ok-ish price - I definitely prefer spending the money on the shower gel and buying a cheaper hand wash if you have to save money but it is perfect as a nice little treat from time to time. It just looks really good in the bathroom and the smell is simply great!
Worth the price and absolutely recommendable!
For me it's 09 out of 10!
fab packaging, looks great on the sink! fantastic scent and best of all leaves hands soft and no dryness at all, pretty rare for a good handwash, kids love it and adults too, please supply to more outlets Treacle moon! currently only available at tesco.
