Advantages: Makes hands soft and smooth, no grease

Disadvantages: Only masks over dryness doesn't get rid of it

In the cold weather my hands get really dry and itchy so I have to carry a hand cream around with me all the time. At the moment I'm using Vaseline's healthy hand and nail cream - a conditioning hand lotion which is supposed to soften your hands and strengthen nails by 50%.

The cream doesn't really have much of a scent, it just smells like a normal lotion and a little sweet but it does smell nice once you've put it on. It rubs really easily into the skin and doesn't leave white marks which I've found some lotions do when they don't absorb into the skin straight away. This one doesn't leave your hands feeling at all greasy either it just gives your hands a nice shine and after only a few seconds the cream dries.

It does take away the dryness of my hands and it leaves them feeling very soft, smooth and silky. However, it doesn't seem to last for very long as I find that I need to use this almost constantly throughout the day. Even if I go out for a few hours and forget to take the lotion with me, my hands will start to feel sore and itchy after a little while. They also don't actually clear up any dry patches they'll just mask them over for a while.

This is a good cream as it does what it's supposed to in making your hands feel softer and smoother but I think I might try a different hand cream when I run out as this one doesn't actually get rid of any dryness.

Summary: Good but not brilliant
