A hand treatment containing natural ingredients which exfoliates, softens and hydrates the hands.

Yes To is a beauty brand that was created in 2006 which prides itself on making highly beneficial beauty products for both the body and hair which contain only fruit, vegetables and minerals. It has a variety of collections each designed with a specific purpose in mind. Yes To Carrots is a nourishing range, while Yes To Baby Carrots is a range of natural products for your own little baby! Yes To Tomatoes is for achieving clarity of skin and Yes To Blueberries is an anti aging range.

As part of the Yes To Carrots range, Yes To created the Feel the C Pampering Hand and Nail Spa. Our hands are very hard working and can become dry and tired. Just like the rest of your body, they need to be cared for and nourished. It is very rare these days that people have the time to go to the spa for a relaxing treatment. The purpose of this product is to give your hands a spa treatment in your own home by exfoliating, smoothing and moisturising your skin. In 2009, this product won the Green Beauty Bible Award Winner.

How does it work? This formula contains Dead Sea Salts which act as an exfoliant, removing dead skin cells and revealing the healthy new layer of skin that was hiding underneath. The gentle grains also help to buff away imperfections and flakey skin, leaving your hands silky smooth. The formula also contains 26 different Dead Sea Minerals which also help to naturally exfoliate the skin on the hands, leaving your skin glowing with health.

It contains Organic Carrot, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato which are ingredients that are more commonly found on your dinner plate than in a hand treatment. Nevertheless, these vegetables are enriched with Vitamin A. All of these vegetables are antioxidants which fight against free radicals and protect the hands from any further damage from the elements such as harsh weathers or household cleaning products. The Beta-Carotene gives your skin a healthy glow.

The formula also contains a combination of oils. The Olive Oil helps to condition the hands and soften the cuticles. It is enriched with Vitamins, nutrients and minerals which help to heal and repair damaged skin. This oil is a fantastic natural substance for hydrating dry skin and regulating the health of your hands.

Almond Oil is swirled into the mixture in order to soothe and hydrate even the driest of skins. It is easily absorbed and improves the complexion of the skin on the hands by giving and retaining moisture. The oil is rich in vitamins which prevents premature aging and therefore keep your hands looking younger for longer. Almond Oil removes the impurities from your skin and encourages the development on new skin cells, giving the hands a more radiant appearance.

Another of oil present in the product is Jojoba Oil. This is a substance which resembles the oils that are naturally produced by the skin and so it is easily absorbed meaning you get an intense moisturisation. It hydrates your skin as it is also enriched with vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin E, which restores the health of the skin leaving your hands refreshed and replenished.

The Fig mashed into the product acts as a great cleanser due to the high proportion of water present in its composition. And finally, the Pomegranate is present to repair skin damage and give your hands a more youthful appearance. The fruit prolongs the long of fibroblasts which are cells which produce collagen that gives the skin its elasticity so it will minimise the wrinkles on the hands too.

How do you use the product?
When you first open the lid, if the product has been sitting still you will see that the formula has sunk to the bottle and a thick layer of oil will be sitting on top. If you use the product like this, it will not have the desired effect. Take a tea spoon and stir the mixture until it resembles something like wall paper paste mixed with porridge. You will need to do this every time that you use the product.

Once the formula has been mixed together, you take one teaspoon of the product and rub the mixture over your hands in much the same action that you would use when washing your hands with liquid soap. You will feel the sea salt exfoliating the skin and you must ensure that you remember to massage the formula onto the cuticles of your nails too. After a few minutes, you can rinse off the product and your hands will feel silky smooth, soft and nourished.

The product comes in a large circular tub with a screw top lid. I love this form of packaging because it allows easy access to the product and ensures that not one drop of the formula will be wasted. The product will cost you around £10 for 250ml of the scrub and it is widely available online. It can also be found in some of the larger department stores such as Debenhams and as its popularity is increasing, it is becoming easier to get your hands on the range of products as new stores begin to stock it.

All in all, this is a fantastic product that serves a multitude of purposes. It leaves my hands feeling completely nourished and people have commented of the softness of my skin. Immediately after use your hands can feel a tad greasy but once you've patted them dry with a towel, the feeling subsides. It's also fantastic to know that nothing but natural ingredients have been used to give the results.

A hand and nail spa pampering product

At this time of the year when the weather is really cold my hands have become a bit dry and my nails are not really looking their best to be honest and being too embarrassed to go to the manicurist with them in this state, I have opted to have a go improving their condition slightly at home.

The Yes to carrots range is my new product to have, I was given a mud mask by a friend of mine and ever since then I have been dying to try everything else within the range. One of the best things about the brand, other than its rather odd name, is that their whole idea behind their products is to combine the goodness of fresh organic fruit and vegetables along with minerals from the dead sea, so it isn't just carrots that they include within their product.

The product I bought a few weeks ago is called The Yes to Carrots Feel the C pampering hand and nail spa and it comes packaged in a tub containing 250ml which is for me a normal sized tub of any product and it retails for £9.00 which is a lot less than I would have expected to pay considering I had my eye on a Clinique one for considerably more. Once the screw on and off lid has been removed inside you will find a rather runny looking cream which is a light orange colour but before you can get to the contents you first have to remove this rather irritating piece of plastic which stretches right over the top of the pot and is an utter nightmare to remove. However once it has been removed and you have full access to the contents you will see how runny it really is and within the oily looking cream are globules of rough sea salt but the smell is absolutely fantastic, it smells clean and very much of the Jojoba Oil and of carrots.

The ingredients within this product which make it smell so amazing is quite long but there are some worth mentioning. Carrot is obviously the main ingredient in all of the products and the reason for that is that it is very rich in vitamin A which means that for the skin it helps to keep it soft and smooth whilst helping with anti-aging. Dead Sea Salts work as a natural exfoliating agent which work really well removing dead skin cells from your body with little effort and I am a big fan of a lot of products which come from the Dead Sea because again they don't irritate my skin, Dead Sea salts and mud have so many good aspects about them it is hard to know where to start but they do help Improve skin metabolism and encourage skin cell growth, Unclog pores, exfoliate dead skin cells and Soften and revitalise the skin. Also within this hand and Nail Spa you will find Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, pumpkin Juice and Jojoba oils all of which are great moisturisers and help dehydrated and undernourished skin. Pomegranate Juice and sweet potato are the final two ingredients which are also both rich in vitamins A, C and E and is also a powerful anti-oxidant which protects the skin cells from damage. There is a full list of the products ingredients on the website and upon the product itself for further information.

When it comes to using this product it can be quite messy so ensure you have a towel or some sort of covering on the surface in which you intend to use it. Then after washing your hands to remove any surface dirt which may lay on them pat them dry. Then using a teaspoon, stir the contents really well for about one minute to ensure the dead sea salt is mixed in with the oily cream and then once that is complete, using the same spoon, place one full teaspoon of the product into the palm of your hand and gently massage the cream onto and into the whole of your hand paying particular attention to the driest skin areas. As you are massaging your hands, you will feel the dead sea salt which is very rough in texture, so remember not to rub too hard because you could end up with sore hands. I found it was much easier to concentrate on one hand rather than doing both at the same time and before washing the left over residue off my hands, I did rub them together, mimicking the actions of washing my hands with some soap to give them one final scrub before placing my hands in a bowl of warm water. Once your hands are in the water the cream is easily removed. Then you simply pat your hands dry.

As with the last product I used from this range, I was really impressed with how soft and smooth my skin had become particularly around the knuckles and the palms of my hands and the fragrant smell was also still very evident upon my skin and it stayed fragant for a good few hours after using it.

This product can also be used for giving yourself a home manicure especially if your cuticles are in need of some work doing to them, you simply use the oily cream around the nail bed and on the cuticle and then lightly push those cuticles back using the normal routine that you would usually follow and you will find that it works just as well, if not better than thw curticle cream that you would normally use. What you should find after doing this is soft smooth fingers and neat cuticles.

If say that I was immediately impressed with it after patting my face dry and touching my cheeks I could feel an instant difference, there was no sign of any dry skin whatsoever and my skin did feel very soft and smooth and I could still smell the almond oil which has a lovely aroma too it. Since using it I haven't suffered any allergic reaction and it hasn't made my skin flare up at all, instead what I find is that after I have used it I am left with soft smooth skin and that I only need to use this product once every week and sometimes once every two weeks.

Overall I was really impressed with this product, it is something I will definitely keep in my cupboard or on my shelf for emergencies should I run out of my favourite products because it is definitely a good back-up product to use my favourite thing about it other than the smell is that it only takes up 5-10 minutes of your time which is no time at all for soft, smooth healthy looking skin and at the price it sells for it is a real bargain. I would guess that the tub I have got will last me around 3-4 months if I used it on a weekly basis, so you do get your monies worth and I do recommend it.
