As some of you who read my reviews may know, I can be an ickle bit clumsy. So when I recently descended my ladder and put my heavy-duty steel toe-capped boots down on my tape measure, no-one, least of all me, was paticulary surprised when it broke...

Looking around for an adequate replacement, this little beauty caught my eye; not least because it has a tough re-inforced rubber casing that makes it hardier and more durable than most of the other competition available on the marketplace!

This measure reaches a length of 5M, or 16 Ft in old money so to speak. It also comes with a locking mechanism so that whilst you are using it, the tape cannot retract back into the casing. But best of all, it comes with a handy wrist strap that means you can fix it to your belt or have it hanging off your wrist, thus eliminating the possibility of you losing it whenever you put it down somewhere....namely because you no longer need to put it down!

The measurements are displayed in large print making them easy to read but other than that there is very little else I can say about this handy tool. Retailing at somewhere around the £3 mark from most stockists (I paid about £2.50 for it on Amazon!), the only thing yopu have to watch is that this can retract at some speed! Hence, it is probably best kept away from children ~ this IS NOT a toy folks! Since I bought it, I have almost caught my fingers a couple of times.
