      Very helpful

Great for carrying my knives in whenever I need to go tooled up (for work only of course)

As some of you may know, I work as a Chef and so, over several years, have gathered together quite a odd-bod collection of knives to use in my trade; some useful, some not so much. Still, I like to carry the majority of them with me wherever I go because you never know when the one I want to use is the one I have left behind. Traditional Knife Canvases are lighter and easy to carry but come with two distinct disadvantages: 1) they get dirty very, very quickly and though can be washed, this can be a drag. 2) They don't carry that many knives in their roll.

Which is why I prefer something a bit bigger and a bit more heavy-duty!

At under £20, this paticular box simply cannot be beaten on price! Reviews on some sites suggest that these are strong enough to use as a step-ladder so long as you are under the weight of say...Jonny Vegas (nervous laughter) but this is not something I would personally recommend! Still, these can take a lot of punishment and though they are quite tough they are probably not as weighty or as heavy to carry as you might expect them to be, even fully loaded as mine is. Still of course, this does depend on the contents but if you could see how many knives I can fit in here you would know that probably my box loaded up weighs about the same as if it actually carried more conventional D.I.Y tools. And with a thicker, more sturdier handle than most other boxes, carrying it for long lengths of time doesn't become too uncomfortable like it can get with the thinner handles you often get on tool boxes!

It is waterproof and easy to clean and has a loop on the front so that you can lock it for security ~ something that was of prime importance to me as, with people always coming in and out of the kitchen in my trade, it has been known fpr some of those people to be light-fingered especially when they see what they think are expensive knives!

Overall, this is great value for money and I would fully recommend it whatever you plan to use it for!
