“ Brand: Accessorize / Type: Purse „
Accessorize brand is the one I'm sure that most girls and ladies are familiar with. They sell many top of the fashion pick of trickets, jewelleries, bags, shoes and anything you would need to accessorise everyday. If I go into a Accessorize shop, I'll be sure to find at least one thing I like and want to buy. However, Accessorize is a brand that is one the higher scale in terms of price. However, every now and then, they do sell items that are reasonably priced and very useful. I have bought their range of coin purses for both myself and for presents, and I love their designs and the quality.
Therefore, it is no surprise that I would find myself purchasing this simple mini bow purse for £5.00. I bought this item awhile ago, I believe it was their autumn/ winter range. The purse is one of the few bigger coin purses and its dimensions come up to approximately 12 cm x 9 cm. It has a simple zip to keep all the coins. There is no compartment inside as with most coin purses. The purse is made of 100% polyurethane to give this rubbery/ man-made leather feel, which isn't that bad. Personally, I like the feel of the purse because it's soft to touch and quite easy to clean.
The purse is quite tiny and I can squeeze it between books and other paraphernalia I put in my bags. It doesn't take up much space in my shoulder bag and it also helps to free up space in my purse. This is really helpful since it makes my purse easy to hold in my hand since it's not bulging out with coins. The mini bow purse has a very feminine and simple design as shown in the picture above; it has a pale pink bow with pink seam on the dark blue background that makes up purse.
I have had this for about 8 months or more and it is getting worn out. It might be something to do with the fact that this tiny purse tends to get squashed under all my files and books. I can see edges of the purse fraying, so I think it's time for a new coin purse. However, it has lasted me quite a long time. I get a lot of use out of this, especially when I go out and I don't want to take my purse. So this mini purse comes in handy to put a credit card with a few bank notes for a quick night out.
Last time I went into Accessorize, I saw this mini bow purse has been redesigned for a new season. It still has the same style but the colour has changed: the newer purse has the pink and grey colour combination.
All in all, I think this is a very cute and functional mini bow purse from Accessorize. Five pounds for a coin purse is not that cheap but I know Accessorize have sales twice a year and most purses will be reduced in price. It might be a good idea to look out for small coin purses as they can come in very handy.
Thank you for reading and reviewing. :) x
Accessorize is, in my opinion a great shop for finding little trinkets, lovely different necklaces and bracelets and is a really great shop for bags and little purses. I think the prices are quite reasonable and I love having a browse in her whenever I am in town. Its on a fairly recent browse that I found this lovely coin purse and I really loved the colour so decided to treat myself. It was only £5 so it wasn't a hard decision and I have been pleased with it ever since.
This purse was definitely a great buy and in my opinion a really nice looking purse that definitely looks more stylish and expensive than its £5 price tag. This little coin purse is definitely a much used product in my oversized handbag. I usually buy my Costa Coffee with £5 notes and coins so when I get my change its nice to have someone easy and quick to stash it rather than drop it in my handbag never to be found again. If I have it in this little purse I know where to go to find more coins when I need them.
The coin purse is a lovely greeny/blue colour, a somewhat seagreen colour and I love how it looks a bit different to other purses you see on the highstreet. The colour gives it a bit more of a stylish look than just a boring black coin purse would. It has some beads of cream trim around the bottom and also down the middle of the purse to give it a bit of design. There is also a little cream bow on the front. The purse is designed to look like it is made of leather but its actually 100% Polyurethane which in my opinion is a fine material. Its hard wearing and also what I like is that its easy to keep clean. If I do spill anything on it I can just wipe it with a baby wipe and it looks as good as new.
The purse has a top zip to it and opens well and I find it easy to unzip and store coins in here. It probably would hold about £10 of pound coins easily I would say, that's about the weight and capacity it could take.
A nice little find from Accessorize!
WHAT IS IT?
A coin purse from Accessorize.
It is a small purse with a zip at the top. Mine is navy blue but if they had had the green one I would have bought that because it looks a very attractive colour. The bow is cream and there is matching piping on the front of the purse. There are no compartments inside and it is tightly lined so that the lining won't catch in the zip.
WHAT I THINK
I bought this to go in a very thin clutch bag because I didn't have a purse small enough to go in there without making it bulge out. It's mainly a coin purse but you can fold up a note and fit it inside but credit cards fill up the interior too much. I like it because it is a very smart looking purse and also because the fabric part of the zip matches the colour of the purse.
The purse feels nice to carry in my hand because it is soft and smooth so I pick this one up quite a lot when I am going to walk to the shops just for one or two items and don't need to carry much cash. The zip works smoothly and it has never stuck even once, the purse doesn't open out very wide so if I end up with lots of coins during a night out I have to struggle to close the purse. I try not to overload it because I don't want to damage the zip or seams. The purse is only 12cm long so is compact to go in any of my small bags and it was the right size for me to lend to my daughter when she was on a school trip in June.
It only cost me £3.50 in the sale but the normal price is £5 and I think that is very cheap because the quality is so good. You can buy it in Accessorize stores or online.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
I generally use larger-sized purses that are able to hold my bank cards alongside banknotes, with a separate 'zipped' section to hold my coins. This style of purse is not always suitable for smaller handbags however as they are generally far too big to fit properly in them. Clutch handbags in particular are not suitable for large purses as there just isn't enough room inside to accommodate them inside.
This led me to hunt out a more petite alternative. I had a really nice new handbag, in a small 'rucksack' design and I knew my largely-sized purses wouldn't fit inside, or if they did, there would be no room left for anything else in the handbag..! I found the perfect item in a local branch of Accessorize recently by way of the "Mini Bow Zip Top Purse." I thought the petite size and attractive design of this purse made it the ideal partner to my new bag. I paid only £5 for the Mini Bow Purse which I thought was an excellent price.
The Mini Bow Zip Top Purse is only available in one colour, which is a turquoise/teal shade, as shown in the picture at the top of the Dooyoo page here.
The purse is what I would describe as a 'coin purse' as it is neatly sized and quite flat. It actually only measures about 13cm in length so it is much smaller than other purses I own, but of course the reason for my buying it was for it to be used alongside my petite handbag so this is fine for my needs. There is a zip that runs along the top of the purse and this is how the purse is closed and opened of course, and I like the fact that the zip is coloured to match the rest of the purse, so it is slightly 'hidden' at first glance.
There are no separate pockets or compartments on the purse which is normal practice with a coin purse, as they are generally designed to hold loose change and perhaps a couple of notes. The Accessorize Mini Bow Zip Purse is more than adequate for these requirements in my experience.
There is some pretty detailing on the front of the purse which offers a little contract to the teal colouring, by way of a little tan bow in the centre of the purse. There is a little delicate 'piping' detailed down a centre 'panel' on the purse, upon which the bow is placed. This tan piping matches the tan bow and the contrast between the tan colouring and the teal is very attractive and quite fashionable. Underneath the piping we can see the outer fabric is gathered slightly, which gives an attractive, slightly 'ruched' design.
The materials used in the little purse are of a very high quality in my opinion, and during my time using the purse it has never ripped or torn - in fact is showing very little in the way of wear and tear so I feel it has been quite a robust little item. The purse is made from 100% Polyurethane which is a man-made fabric, so the purse is 'vegetarian' as it is not made from leather or any other animal products. This fabric is extremely robust as I said, and it feels slightly 'rubbery' although no more so than leather I suppose. The purse is able to be washed down with a damp cloth, which has proven useful recently when I noticed a grubby mark at one of the corners. This washed off easily with a damp cloth and a tiny spot of washing up liquid, leaving the fabric looking like new.
During a recent trip out with my friend, she commented on how nice my purse was and so I bought her one for her birthday at the start of August. She was delighted to receive her own purse, and given that she is quite a few years older than me, I think it shows that the purse is suitable for a variety of age groups and 'styles' as it were. It has quite a 'fashionable' look to it, yet it is not overly 'young' that I feel it is not suited to my own style and taste, and likewise with my friend who is in her 40s.
As @ the time of writing (August 2012), you can purchase the Accessorize Mini Bow Purse in-store where it will cost £5. You can also order online, where postage charges apply.
I have nothing negative to report about this little purse and think it offers really good value for money, considering how attractive it is, and how robust the materials used within it have proven to be. I feel it deserves full marks in the product rating as a result.
For my birthday this year I received several little gifts from my older nieces which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. I normally have homemade gifts which of course I keep but this year as they are now slightly older I received store bought gifts and they were given strict instructions by my brother that they had a certain budget of £5 each to spend (there are 2 of them). Whatever my nieces buy me I know it has been influenced by my sister in law and she generally has very good taste!
I had no idea what my nieces had bought me but when I was presented with a very small Accessorize gift bag my eyes lit up and I was eager to unwrap the carefully wrapped package which was of course wrapped in lovely tissue paper and sealed with a large Accessorize sticker. Upon opening it I found that it was a small coin purse which from looking at the website is known as the Mini Bow Zip Top coin purse which comes in a deep teal colour.
I am normally a large purse kinda girl if you hadn't guessed by my previous two reviews on large purses! But I was incredibly pleased with my gift kindly picked out by my one niece who thought it would suit me! Accessorize if you don't know is a wonderful store nationwide which is filled to the brim with accessories, handbags, purses, jewellery and is a very lovely store. I have always found there prices to be quite reasonable and finding out that this purse was £5.00 I thought it was a very good buy.
The purse itself is only 13cm (L) by 9cm (W) so is quite small compared to my other purses but it is the ideal size for carrying any loose change or any change for a specific reason separate from your main purse. Because of its size it also fits easily into any size handbag. I now use mine for when I go out on an evening as I did find taking my large purse a bit too bulky and cumbersome and when I am only wanting to take my debit card and a some loose change this is generally ideal, it will even fit in a lip gloss or two!
The bag itself is made from 100% polyurethane so is pretty durable but it also easy to keep clean as you can simply wipe the purse over with a damp cloth should it become a little grubby. The main decoration on this purse is on the front which features two grey ribbed edges together with a sweet little bow in the middle, the bow is grey in colour and has a slight patent effect. The purse has the same grey binding around the edge which gives the purse a bit of structure and support not to mention helps keep the purse together.
The purse has a simple zip at the top which is colour co-ordinated with the purse and inside there is the very simple teal polyester lining which suits the purse nicely. On the inside there is no inside pocket or anything like that, it is simply the purse where you can easily store a few cards and your change. But then that is simply what a coin purse is supposed to do, incredibly simple but effective and I cannot complain about this purse whatsoever.
I have used this purse on quite a few occasions now and it can always carry exactly what I need it to and a little bit more! I'm not one for coin purses normally but now I have one (and may have bought a few more since!) I have now realised how incredibly useful they are and this one is incredibly cute, has a nice simple design and has come in very useful. No complaints from me whatsoever. For a very reasonable price of £5 this is definitely worthy of a purchase! 5 stars from me!
