“ Brand: Accessorize / Type: Purse „
WHAT IS IT? A coin purse from Accessorize with the on trend moustache print. THE DESIGN The purse has a clip fastening and is made of a shiny laminated material. Beige is the main colour of the purse and the moustaches are black, they are arranged in different sizes and in a staggered manner so the purse looks fun. The trim of the purse is bright pink and that makes it more feminine because it's quite a dull set of colours apart from this pink, the lining inside the purse is bright pink as well with polka dot print. WHAT I THINK The purse is classed as a small purse but it measures 14cm by 9cm so isn't one of those tiny ones. There aren't any separate compartments inside it bit because there's quite a lot of room I can carry cards and notes in it as well as coins. You have to watch out if you've got notes in your purse because they can fall out when you unclip the purse unless they are folded up tightly. The clasp is strong and never comes open when you don't want it to. You can fill the purse with coins and it doesn't bulge out enough to make the clasp pop open. The seams are all strong and unless you was carrying a lot of heavy change in your purse I don't think they'd split or burst. There is a matching Moustace shopping bag available in Accessorize but I don't like the styling of that so just use the purse. I don't use it every day because it is not versatile enough for me with it not having a card section or anywhere specific to put notes. It is also a very slippy purse so I think it would be one that is easily lost if it started sliding out of your bag. This is the sort of purse that any aged woman could use if they like the Moustache print. I think it's designed mostly with younger ladies in mind but there's nothing that world stop an older lady carrying it if she likes fun accessories. 4 Dooyoo Stars.
I've had a £30 Accessorize gift card in my purse since Christmas, and I've finally got around to spending it. I don't normally buy much from either Accessorize or Monsoon as I do think that the majority of things in there are vastly overpriced. I was shopping recently with my sister who also had a £30 Accessorize gift card (also received at Christmas from the same relative), and we both decided to just bite the bullet and finally spend the gift cards. I didn't want to have to put any extra to my gift card, I wanted to keep my purchase at just £30. I also wanted to try and get something quirky and unusual, something that I probably wouldn't normally buy. I managed to find the perfect items - this Moustache Laminate Purse, and the matching Moustache Laminate Shopper, both of which came to £31 - result! The Moustache Laminate Purse was £6. I had spotted the Moustache Shopper at £25 in Accessorize first, and had already decided that I was going to buy the shopper as I absolutely loved it. So when I then spotted the matching Moustache Purse at just £6 I just knew that I was meant to buy the two of these! I had to put £1 to my £30 gift card, but I'd certainly class that as sticking to my £30 limit. The Moustache Laminate Purse is really quirky and fun, and it just makes me smile every time I use it. I've only had it for a few weeks, and I've had loads of comments about it already. I absolutely love the quirky moustache print as it's unusual, quirky and fun without being too over the top and in your face. The purse is a clip frame purse, and as such is just really designed as coin purse, it doesn't have any extra sections for notes or cards or receipts etc. It reminds me of an old fashioned purse with the clasp fastening on the top, but given a much more up to date look with the quirky moustache print. I don't use the purse as often as I use the shopper, purely because I normally prefer a purse which has the separate sections for cards, notes etc. The purse isn't very big and so if I use it I normally just pop a couple of cards plus my notes and change into it, I don't want to overfill it so that notes or cards fall out when I open it. I suppose that I could get a separate wallet for cards and notes, and then just keep this for coins, maybe I'll consider this. Although I've just said that it's not very big, it isn't quite as small as some clip frame purses that I've seen, so it is a much more day to day usable size. The dimensions of the purse are 15cm by 9cm, so it's a rectangular coin purse rather than a square coin purse, which does make it a lot more useful if I'm also putting a couple of cards and some folded notes in it. The silver metal clasp fastening on the top opens and closes easily, and it does feel tight and secure when closed, it doesn't seem like it can just come open at any point in my handbag. The background to the purse is beige, and it then has black moustaches in various different shapes and sizes printed all over the purse. The top solid rim of the purse is edged in a bright pink contrasting piped trim which creates a bit of detailing and a pop of colour. The metal clasp is a silver colour. The purse is a coated laminate and so is waterproof in the rain, also any spills or drips just wipe off easily enough with a wet wipe or a tissue. The interior of the purse is just as fun as the exterior, the interior is lined in a navy polyester with bright pink polka dots all over. I think that I probably love my shopper more than my purse, but I think that's only because the purse isn't the most practical design as it's really just a coin purse. However I do love the moustache print and the quirkiness factor and so I have had more use out of this purse than I thought I would. I think that it was really good value at just £6, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
