“ Brand: Accessorize / Type: Shopper „
I rarely get to shop in Accessorize as its just too far to travel. However I do like to browse in the store as I love their bags and earrings! The last time I was in the shop was sale time. I really can't resist a bargain and was drawn to a quirky looking bag that had been reduced from £25 to just £7.50.
The bag is what is described as a shopper and has a very unusual moustache pattern. I like my bags to have zips for security and this one has a full length zip with bright pink detail. It has long black handles that allow me to carry the bag over my shoulder in comfort. The bag is a decent size measuring 53 cm in length and 33 cm in width. Inside is a purple polyester lining. The bag has a laminated surface to keep moisture out. The handle is made of plastic.
I find this bag really useful and take it whenever I have shopping to do. The long handles make it comfortable to carry . The laminated surface not only keeps the weather out,but also makes it easy to keep clean. I suspect that over time the thin lining will start to tear, but at present it is in good nick! The bag is quite big and it is surprising just how much I can cram in. It is also a very useful bag to take on a weekend away or as hand baggage when flying.
I really like this quirky bag and think for the price I paid it was a bargain. I definitely would not have paid the full asking price though!
I've had a £30 Accessorize gift card in my purse since Christmas, and I've finally got around to spending it. I don't normally buy much from either Accessorize or Monsoon as I do think that the majority of things in there are vastly overpriced. I was shopping recently with my sister who also had a £30 Accessorize gift card (also received at Christmas from the same relative), and we both decided to just bite the bullet and finally spend the gift cards.
I didn't want to have to put any extra to my gift card, I wanted to keep my purchase at just £30. I also wanted to try and get something quirky and unusual, something that I probably wouldn't normally buy. I managed to find the perfect items - this Moustache Laminate Shopper, and the matching Moustache Laminate Purse, both of which came to £31 - result!
The Moustache Laminate Shopper was £25. I absolutely love it, as soon as I spotted it I couldn't resist it, and I knew instantly that this is what my gift card would be spent on. When I also spotted the matching purse at just £6 I just knew that I was meant to buy these! I had to put £1 to my £30 gift card, but I'd certainly class that as sticking to my £30 limit.
The Moustache Laminate Shopper is really quirky and fun, and it just makes me smile every time I use it. I've only had it for a few weeks, and I've had loads of comments about it already. I absolutely love the quirky moustache print as it's unusual, quirky and fun without being too over the top and in your face.
The bag is a really practical size for days when I need to take my laptop out and about with me as I can easily fit my laptop in here plus all the other crap that I carry about with me on a day to day basis. It's also not too big that even if I don't have my laptop in it, then it doesn't feel too big and too empty. It's a good size for carrying my DLSR camera around with me for a day of sightseeing, and I can easily get my DLSR, a guidebook, a water bottle, various camera accessories, plus again all the other crap that I carry about with me on a day to day basis in here.
The background to the bag is beige, and it then has lots of black moustaches in various different shapes and sizes printed all over the bag. The top rim of the bag where the the zipper fastening is, is edged in a bright pink contrasting trim which creates a bit of detailing and a pop of colour. I like that it has the zipper fastening which runs across the whole of the top of the bag, as this makes the bag safer as no-one can slide their hand in and try to steal something. The two shoulder straps are black, and are attached with gold coloured studs to the body of the bag. I always carry this on my shoulder rather than by hand, and it's comfortable and easy to carry no matter how full it is, as the shoulder straps are quite wide and so they don't dig into my shoulder. The bag is a coated laminate and so is waterproof in the rain, also any spills or drips just wipe off easily enough with a wet wipe or a tissue.
The interior of the bag is just as fun as the exterior, the interior is lined in a navy polyester with bright pink polka dots all over. The interior also wipes clean, I've had a couple of make up spills already in this and they've just wiped off the polyester easily enough. There is a zippered pocket inside the bag, which I find handy to put my purse, phone and keys inside. I like interior zippered pockets in handbags for my purse etc, especially if the interior of the handbag is large like this one, as it then stops me having to rifle through all my crap for ages looking for my purse or car keys or phone.
I absolutely love this bag, I've had lots of use out of it already, and I'm sure that I'll continue to get lots of use out of it. I think that it was good value at £25, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
