I bought this bag from the shop bank priced at £28 with a special student discount offer that was on. Other shops had it priced at £35 and a quick online look at Schuh's website tells me that is still the current price.
The bag comes in a variety of colours (blue, green, red, pink, brown, black) and mine is in a different shade of blue to the above picture. It's more of a darker navy colour.
I intentianally went looking for this bag and knew what I was after when I went shopping. The bag itself is quite a popular unisex bag worn by students and others and I see people wearing it, and different colours of it on a daily basis when out and about. As I knew I needed a new bag uni.. I specifically wanted one that was big enough to store my files in and one that I could put over my shoulder. I had seen this bag so much that I knew it would be perfect for my use.
I've had this bag for a year now and it it still looks brand new. The zips are still opening with ease. There are 2 zips on the bag. One for the main compartment at the top and one for a smaller one at the side. The bag is pretty basic in design and just has the adidas logo on the front of the bag and also on the bags zips which look quite nice.
The shoulder strap is easily adjustable and is a good length so that it is suitable for all. Inside the bag apart from the main compartment, there are 3 small little pockets. The main pocket is a good size, but I find the 2 pockets on either side to be a little small. But eitherway the bag is of great quality, very spacious.. storing a good amount of things inside.. and does not get worn out easily. I've carried many library books in my bag and it's been quite jam packed at times and that still hasnt affected the quality of it. Ive also been wearing the bag in heavy rain and all contents inside are always well protected.
I would definitely recommend the bag if you are a student or one who likes shoulder bags and carries quite a lot of things. I was originally wanting the bag in red or a very light turquoise as I liked the images of them on the websites, but found every store I went into they were sold out as they were so popular. Therefore it's worth looking around in a few shops and seeing where the best prices would be before purchasing.
Apart from Bank, the bag can be purchased from Schuh, JD sports, JJB sports and the Adidas shop. There are also various other adidas bags that are of similiar design but differ in size. And remember, if you're a student.. most of these places offer student discount! :)
I have recently purchased this bag for £35 pounds from JD Sports intending to use it for school, the bag is one of the more expensive bags in it's category but the appearance of the bag is very nice and available in many different colours.
I purchased the bag in a Brown colour with white adidas labelling and white bordering.
The bag has 3 sections: A large compartment can be found on the front of the bag, The main storage section and a small storage section inside useful for pens/mobile phone.
I do feel however, the bag could have had another compartment on the back quite easily.
The main section will be able to hold many items; if intending for school I would say you could get a lunch-box, P.E kit and a few books in there no problem, but remember there is the compartment on the front where books could be stored, this would avoid any spillage from drinks in your lunch.
On many bags there are also side pockets to perhaps store a drinks bottle but again unfortunately this bag has nothing.
To conclude, it is an attractive bag which will offer enough storage space for most people however being £35 it's possible to find leather bags of similar price or slightly higher than this, which of course will offer high-quality and will perhaps last longer, Saying this, the bag does feel quality and looks quality and I am sure it last along time.
The bag itself has three storage spaces, one large zip-up space, a smaller zip-up pocket on the front and another zip-up pocket inside the largest storage space.
It's a bright, vibrant, energy filled blue colour which stands out and has a white lining around it. The one-shoulder strap can be worn over either shoulder and provides a comfortable way of transporting the bag around. There is beauty in the finer details such as the adidas logo on the zips. The front of the bag has "adidas" printed on to it and has the logo too. A very stylish and appeaing appearance for any high school, sixth form or college student.
The interior is not as fancy as the exterior, but why does it need to be, not many people are going to look inside. Blue lining everywhere, sections clearly made ffor pens, pencils and other appliances (a mobile phone perhaps). Easily capable of fitting a lunch box, school books and stationery in. The bottom of the bag is reinforced for added support. The shoulder strap's length is easily adjustable by use of a buckle on the strap.
I have had this bag (same colour) since September 2009, and I have only just started having problems with it. The zip to the main storage space no longer works, leaving the contents of my bag open to anyone. However the seams are still intact and the strap has not yet snapped (which is surprising as I carry many heavy things). I haven't had any trouble fitting all I need for sixth form into my bag and in my honest opinion it's the perfect size and shape for a student.
