Advantages: can use for grocery shopping

Disadvantages: would you put a packet of meat into an Anya Hindmarch bag?

The concept is a good one which is to promote lesser use of plastic bags and to use this instead when shopping. However, i doubt that people actually use this for grocery shopping because they would rather use it as handbag.

This does lead me to wonder if this lead to a greater wastage of resources. There are imitation bags out there of it (more production of the bag) but people are generally buying it for use for anything except grocery shopping. More grocery bags have to be produced because this series was not used for grocery shopping. I supposed that there are better ways to make a statement than this. I am doubtful if this bag actually made people want to carry a bag to grocery shopping instead of taking all the plastic bags home and then discarding them afterwards into the landfill.
