==Cath Kidston Bath Flowers Zip Purse== I do love a bag and in my mind having a full range of different types of purses is also a total must. This Cath Kidston Bath flowers purse was one that I just couldn't resist buying when I saw it in my local stockist last year. It is the classic style and design for the Cath Kidston Purses and I just loved the wonderful teal colouring of this particular one matched with the lovely pinks of the flower pattern. At £27 it wasn't exactly the cheapest purse that I had bought but it wasn't the most expensive one either and for the fact that I knew I was getting a quality product and one that would most likely last for years I thought this price tag was reasonable. I remember having to decide between a few different colours of this purse on the day I bought it as there were a few of the same design but just in different shades. I even toyed with the idea of getting two in different colours! The purse itself is a nice big one which has no chance of getting lost in my oversized handbags although does sometime feel like carrying a brick if I use it when carrying some of my smaller and more dainty bags. The purse is 11 cm x 19 cm and is around 1 ½ cm in depth. It is made from the classic oilcloth material which does seem to give it a stronger durability and even after over a year of a lot of use this purse I own still looks pretty much good as new. I like this purse a lot because it feels safe, sturdy and well made as well as having a lot of room to put all my store cards and money. The outer zip is thick and strong and I have never had a problem with it like I have some other of my larger purses. Once open the purse opens out to show five separate compartments one of which is a section for the cards which offers six spaces although these can be doubled or in my case trebled and filled with three cards at a time with relative ease. There is both a section for storing notes and a must have smaller zipped area to hold the vast amount of coinage I seem to get on a regular basis. This annoys me when other purses don't offer this zip with the coin section as without a zip the coins do end up being scattered everywhere usually in a shop with me! All in all I have to say that this purse is absolutely fabulous. It is well worth the money paid and I have had several compliments from people about it which makes me feel good too. It is easy to care for and the design means that it is a well made and long lasting product which will get its money from it. It has plenty of storage and is easy to find in a larger bag. I really can't find a single fault with my wonderful purse and for that reason I will have to award a top score of 5 out of 5 stars and give and exceptionally high recommendation! I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you Many thanks for taking the time to read
As a teacher there is always one time of year I look forward to most of all... the end of the summer term! This not only signifies the start of a six week holiday but also the chance to say good riddance to my class for that year (or shed a few tears depending on the particular class)! It also means that I not only go home laden with the usual rubbish I seem to collect on a daily basis but also with presents from the children that are leaving my class to move up a year. I'm lucky to teach in quite an affluent area which means the presents are quite decent, I still get the odd box of out of date chocolates or a dead spider that one particular child thought I'd like to keep to remember him by... but I'm usually quite lucky! One of the nicest presents I got last year was a Cath Kidston wallet in one of her famous flower prints which I was absolutely delighted with. Cath Kidston offers an extensive range of accessories and home products which often feature her exquisite and somewhat vintage styled bird or flower prints. All her products are advertised as being practical and quirky, showcasing these very distinctive prints that have come to epitomize the Cath Kidston brand. In the past I've received a couple of items from her range but this wallet is probably the one that I use the most. The purse design has been available for quite a while now and there are a number of identical models in different prints available on her website now. The purse has quite a standard design in that it's long and flat shaped, it's approximately 19cm by 11cm in terms of size with a depth of about 1.5cm. It's made of oilcloth, which feels a bit like a sort of plastic coated leather to me, and is extremely durable and hardwearing. I've had mine for about a year now and it hasn't got a single mark on it, any spillages simply wipe off to leave it looking as good as new. It is a dark olive green in colour and is decorated rather lavishly with a red flower print. The inside is cotton and is the same colour as the outer fabric, but without the pattern, to make it all blend in nicely. I get complemented on this purse from time to time and it's certainly quite eye catching in terms of colour. Inside the purse is fully functional and is accessed by a single zip which has proved hardwearing as well. There are five main compartments inside the purse, two of which are purely for holding notes against the sides of the purse itself. In front of one of these is a place to hold cards which has six compartments, I've actually got about ten cards in my purse and find each holder can effectively hold at least two cards. In the centre there is a closed pocket which is accessed using a smaller zip, this tends to be for just coins in my purse. Finally there is also another compartment attached to this pocket which can be used for notes, receipts, etc. All in all it holds all my millions of pounds quite adequately (I wish)! This purse is priced at £26 in my local Cath Kidston stockist although it no longer appears to be available on the website. This is because the prints are constantly being updated, so although the Cath Kidston Bath Flowers print is no longer available online, the wallet is available in other colours and prints. I tend to pay around £20 for my purses (sometimes more if I'm feeling extravagant) so this seems quite fairly priced although some would say it's quite expensive. It would make an ideal present due to the general appeal of the intricate prints. I've got my eye on a couple of other products from this range... I think I'm developing a slight addiction so I'll have to start dropping hints ready for Christmas presents! Thanks for reading!
Yes, I'm now the proud owner of one of these as a birthday present to myself (what else are the sales for at this time of year?)! I already had a smaller zip purse from Avon, which is organised in the same way. However, the coins kept dropping out each time I unzipped it, due to a small gap in the folds of the zip section's inner compartments, leading to the loss of money quite frequently, so I'd had my eye on a Cath Kidston replacement for a while, although my experience with the zip element of the Avon purse was putting me off a bit. However, although another reviewer found that the purse doesn't open very far, this was the reassurance I needed that my coins are staying put until I choose to take them out and that's exactly the benefit of this Cath Kidston purse - there are no gaps at all (probably what holds this section quite taut when you unzip it) and my coins have stayed firmly where they belong! I've had no problems with the zip catching with this purse yet either (unlike the Avon purse). If I was going to gripe slightly about a tight fit with this purse, it would be in the credit card section. I actually don't have a credit card at all, but by the time you have all of your loyalty and debit cards in there, this section of the purse seems quite bulky and tight, making it quite difficult to slide the cards you want in and out with any kind of ease. I have not filled this section, as I think I would have quite a difficulty if I had cards in every possible section. That said, I think this has been a design flaw with almost every purse or card holder that I have ever had, so I wouldn't give this purse a black mark on that account, it just would be even better if Cath Kidston designers had managed to find a way around it! Size wise, I'm going with the baby-bear approach - it's not too big, it's not too small, in fact - it's just right! Couple that with the happy result from the coin section, the durable but pretty fabric and the quality that you would expect from Cath Kidston, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this purse!
When it comes to floral prints and Cath Kidston, I'm a bit of a sucker! I adore anything vintage looking, and this definitely fits in with the look. The purse is very large and can also be used as a clutch for a night out. It has lots of card slots and compartments inside, and a zip coin purse down the middle. There is plenty of room for all your bits and pieces. The purse is extremely hard wearing as it has an oilcloth finish and can easily be wiped if dirty. I own many of these purses in different floral styles, and find these by far the best price for their money as they last years, along with varying fashion trends. Sometimes on large purses such as these, the zip catches, I've never had a problem with this. I find the only downside is that it doesn't fully open, but otherwise a gorgeous purse for the fashion and thrifty concious.
Cath Kidston has an extensive range of home wares and accessories that are suited to women of all ages. This review is of one of their purse designs, specifically the Cath Kidston Bath Flowers Zip Wallet. This purse design has been available for a couple of years now and the style and shape hasn't changed, however it is available in all sorts of colours and enchanting Cath Kidston prints that are constantly changing to match their new seasons patterns. The purse is long and flat shaped being approximately 19cm x 11cm and a depth of 1.5cm. The purse itself is made out of durable oilcloth which is coated with PVC and thus water resistant and you are able to clean any marks or dirt off it very easily. The inside is made out of cotton lining with leather trims and is colour matched to your outer fabric print, there is a great deal of attention to detail with this purse. The designs choices are endless for this classic Cath Kidston purse; I have it in the Bath Flowers pattern which consists of a background colour of teal with a traditional flowers pattern on. These flowers are quaint in size and the colours are predominantly pink with smaller and less frequent white and blue flora. I think this style of pattern is both pretty yet understated compared to some of the more bold patterns they design. As mentioned there are a great variety of patterns to choose from which makes it a more individual item to own. The outer zip is both sturdy and chunky, but does sometimes catch on notes and loose receipts I keep in it, though it is easily opened again. Inside this purse is great for space and ideal for people who like to keep hold of a lot of cards. The zip goes around the two shorter ends and one long length of the purse and folds open to about 75 degrees. There are five separate compartments in total, two of which are against the sides of the purse. These are not extendable and sit flush with the outer edges of the wallet I find them most useful for holding notes as it space is tight I don't have to worry about them dropping out of blowing away in a freak gust of wind, when I have notes in my purse that is (not too often). On one of these outer pockets is a space for six cards to be kept, though I can store up to three cards in each pocket so potentially up to twenty cards at a push, which keeps them organised and safely stored. In the centre there is an upright compartment which has a thin zip that is ideally suited to holding coinage. Either side of this there is additional space for receipts and notes. This is not a particularly cheap purse being £25 available from all good Cath Kidston stores, the usual department stores and of course online. It is very sturdy and well made which the price reflects. You also have the added temptation of being able to buy matching bags and accessories. If the day comes when I need a new purse I will definitely be buying one of these again, highly recommended!
