Cath Kidston Ticket Holder
Advantages: Cute design, small
I used to work in London up until a few years ago and now I go in about once or twice a month to see friends after work or meet my husband for a drinks and dinner date. I have an Oyster card which is a a travel card that you top up with money and then use to swipe in and out of the barriers at Underground stations.†
I wanted a nice carry case for this and also for my overground rail tickets as well, a sort of dedicated ticket holder that was just specifically for this purpose so I knew I always had my tickets with me and I wouldn't lose them if I just stuffed them in my wallet. When I saw the range at Cath Kidston I just knew I had to get one as I love her designs and thought that the ticket holder was exactly what I was looking. †
Cath Kidston produce a wide range of products, products for the home, clothing, beauty etc and all in amazingly cool, old fashioned whimsical patterns. Cath Kidston is well known for her†nostalgic floral patterns which are lovely but I am actually a big fan of her star prints. I don't know why but I really like the look of stars and have a number of products from her star range including a bag, mugs and now this ticket holder. The ticket holder does come in a number of different prints but this one for me really stands out, it quite different to the other prints and looks really good in my opinion.†
She does two different star prints as far as I am aware, one with a white background and coloured stars on it and then a small star print which has a blue background and small stars. This ticket holder is blue with red, pink, green and yellow stars on it. The ticket holder is made of that plastic type material meaning it is wipe clean which is nice as this does get dirty from time to time carrying it to London and back. This material is very hard wearing as well and after a couple of years of use it is still as good as new and shows no signs of giving up any time soon.
The ticket holder is simple, it doesn't have a coin purse or anything like that but that was all I wanted, a thin little ticket holder that would either fit in my bag or my pocket to use on the tube and this works perfectly. The holder folds three ways so you can open it up and then there are slots inside to hold your tickets and Oyster card. The nice thing is that I can scan my Oyster card on the machines without having to take it out of the holder as the technology works through the fabric so its great to not have to fiddle with it.†
The ticket holder cost me £6 which I think is an absolute bargain for a good quality, good looking product.†
