I have had this wallet for years now. I go through periods of not using it and switching to a different purse but have come back to it many times since first buying it.
Cath Kidston purses and wallets are not cheap. You are paying for the brand and the pattern. This wallet is very good quality though and it has lasted years. It still seems like new (apart from the brown leather attached to the zip has fallen off on mine) and I definitely believe that it was worth the money.
It is square and fairly small and fits in most bags. The pretty floral pattern and the small size makes it look feminine, whilst being very practical.
Inside it has space for cards, a pouch for cash and a little pocket (with a popper) to store change. It does not fit as much as some of the bigger Cath Kidston wallets but it still fits a lot. There are three spaces for cards but each one will fit more than one card. I have found that if I have too much change or too much paper/receipts/cash in the pouch that the wallet can be hard to do up, but this does not happen unless it is really full.
Despite being small it is quite a heavy wallet, especially if it is full. Personally this is not an issue for me as it is pretty and practical it is a small price to pay.
One thing that I have found with this wallet is that it can be quite stiff. Despite being old it still feels like a new wallet when trying to take out my cards. I accidentally bent a card through being too lazy to slide it in one of the stiff card holder parts and instead putting it in with my cash.
Overall this is the perfect wallet. It lasts a long time, it is pretty and it is practical. It is worth the money and I am glad I bought it.
==Cath Kidstone tiny Rose Small Zip Wallet==
I went through a stage of absolutely wanting everything I could with the Cath Kidstone design and as a result I have a good few bags and wallets and pieces around the home that cost a fair bit more than I let on to Himself!
This little purse may be small but the price tag of £19 wasn't. Compared to other name brand purses this small little item still is a tad more expensive. I have a lot of surf brand purses and wallets and none of them were as expensive as this one for the amount of purse you get for your money. However I did think it ideal for fitting in my smaller hand bags and seeing as I loved the design I couldn't help but treat myself.
The purse surprised me when I opened it up and found that you could have space for 3 credit cards or store cards in the zipped section as well as room for coins. I would have assumed that the small size would of just allowed for only coins to be held within the zip so this was a real added bonus and possibly an added reason for me to part with my cash and buy the little purse.
The coin area is sealed with a flap so that the coins don't fall about everywhere although this is not particularly secure but it seems to do the job and I never have any trouble with it. There is also an area to place notes in (although in my purse that hardly ever gets used for this and will more often than not there will be a good few old receipts in there.
So for the size of this relatively small zipped purse you can certainly fit a good deal of bits in there and be more than happy. The purse measures around 10cm squared so its not the smallest purse I own but it is a lot smaller than my every day one.
The design of the purse is of course the main reason for buying it and I have to say that the lovely colours of this floral design are really what caught my eye. The material it is made from is hard wearing and pretty easy to keep clean. Although I have had this purse for a good while now it is still looking as good as the day I bought it and I must say I have certainly got my £19 worth from it.
I have to say I really would recommend this gorgeous little purse to everyone and anyone. It would make an ideal gift for that special lady in your life or indeed, like I did, make it a gift to yourself!
I think nothing but a top score of 5 out of 5stars is in order for this Cath Kidstone zipped purse!
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
I've had this wallet for a couple of years now but I still use it often when I know in advance I am going to be going somewhere and have the time to decant all the cards and money I will need from my main purse as this one is lovely but not big enough for me to use as an everyday purse unfortunately.
I absolutely adore Cath kidston and have loads of her products from bags to even a dog lead for my dog Molly. I just love her whimsical very English patterns and nearly everything that I've bought from her range seems to have lasted me ages and is extremely well made.
This little wallet is no exception. It is again different from the dooyoo picture (they never seem to have the right one on the picture) and is covered in tiny little flowers in different colours. I am quite a girly girl and this really appeals to my sense of style as it is so ladylike and feminine but I think that the black background stops it from being too sickly sweet.
It is quite spacious for the size and contains 6 different compartments for cards and a coin compartment which is really important for me as I hate to have change in my pockets. It should have enough room as long as you aren't like me and have loads of different cards. As I said if I know I'm going somewhere and will only need certain cards then this is fine but for everyday use I have too many different cards that I might need so unfortunately it doesn't have enough space to be used as my main purse which is unfortunate as I do like its compact size as it takes up so little room in my bag.
Like everything else I've ever bought from Cath Kidston it is very well made. It has a waterproof coating that is wipe clean and does a good job of keeping everything that is in it dry and secure and it doesn't show up dirt too badly. It is also looking remarkably good considering that I've now had it for so long. The zip is also lovely to open and close and never gets stuck or cause a problem.
I forget exactly how much I paid for this wallet but I'm sure it was around about £15 which may be expensive for a little wallet but not when it is this well made and pretty and I would highly recommend it to people.
I bought this last week as my grandma was kind enough to give me my birthday money a month early so I had a bit of a splurge! I was buying quite alot of new clothes ready for uni etc and came across this purse. It was on the ASOS site and I bought it from ASOS although it is also available from various other shops, and obviously the official Cath Kidston website. This purse retails at £18 which for a Cath Kidston item is a reasonable good price. If I wasn't buying this out of birthday money I definetly wouldn't of bought it but I thought i'd treat myself.
There was only one colour option on the ASOS website which is charcoal black with pretty multicoloured flowers printed all over it. On the Cath Kidston website there is a variety of different colours and designs - tartan, stars, etc, however I did not see the one that is pictured on the Dooyoo picture so maybe that one has sold out or has been discontinued or something. I got the black one which is gorgeous, it has tiny little flowers all over it which are multicoloured - red, blue, white, pink, etc. It's a really mature sort of pattern too, it's not the type of floral print that looks babyish and the colours are subtle.
The purse is made out of PVC coated cotton which is sturdy, waterproof and smooth to the touch. It is easy to keep clean and can be just wiped down with a baby wipe if it gets any dirt on it which is really handy. The wallet is quite an unusual shape for a purse and is quite square-like. It is generous in size and measures 11.5cm by 11.5cm so although it is reasonably smaller than an average wallet or purse, it is not fiddly or child sized.
The purse has a zip which goes all the way around. The zip trail is gold and the zip itself is gold with a leather Cath Kidston label on it which is handy to grasp and then pull. It also makes it clear that the purse is an authentic Cath Kidston product. Inside the purse it is in a folded sort of style, with 3 card compartments on each side and a coin pocket which can also hold notes if you prefer to keep your change and notes together. At the back of the purse there is a notes compartment but I use this compartment to hold train tickets etc and keep my change and notes together. The purse keeps all my cards, money, tickets etc safe and I have no worries that they can fall out as the purse is secure.
This purse isn't quite small enough to fit into jean pockets although it can fit into my small handbag easily and leaves plenty of space for my other stuff. It is very sturdy and also looks gorgeous, and I would definetly reccomend it.
Recently I received this wallet as a present from my mum and dad. I was actually in need of a new wallet, so I was very happy to receive this. They got it from Cath Kidston for £18. For me £18 is very expensive for a wallet, however I have a feeling this will last me a long time, as it seems to be high quality made. Also I think it is on sale now anyway. You can buy stuff from Cath Kidston online, but there is also quite a few shops around the country.
The wallet has sections to fit all your stuff in, on the left side, it has an area to put your credit cards, there are 3 sections for your cards, but each section can fit around 2 cards in, so you can technically fit 6 cards in this wallet. On the right side there is a little pocket for your coins, with a flap that closes to keep your coins in place, you can fit quite a lot of coins in the little pocket. And then at the back of the wallet, there is a large notes compartment, to fit all your notes in.
I absolutely love the pattern on this wallet. The background colour of the wallet is blue, and then there are small red, pink, and white roses covering it, and they have green leaves. You would think that maybe all these colours clash, but they actually all look really nice together. To open the wallet there is simply a zip going all the way around the outside of the wallet. The brown leather label attached to the zip has 'Cath Kidston' on it, so you can tell it is by Cath Kidston. But anyway the pattern on the wallet is well recognised for being a Cath Kidston design anyway. The inside of the wallet has the same pattern as the outside does.
This wallet is a square shape, and is actually quite big. It probably wont be able to fit in your jeans pocket or anything like that, which could be a problem for you. However if you want to take it out in your handbag, I find that it is an ideal size. Sometimes I have to spend ages standing at the till searching around through my handbag, trying to find my wallet, however as this is quite big, I can find it easily straight away. Don't get me wrong this wallet isn't like massive or anything, I measured it, and it was about 10/11cm on each side.
Overall I found that this wallet has a gourgous pattern, has space to fit your cards, notes and coins in, and fits lovely into your handbag. However the downside of this wallet is that £18 is very expensive for a wallet, and that it won't be able to fit in all your pockets.
I would recommend this.
