Advantages: Well designed, great quality, lots of pockets and space, comfy to wear

Disadvantages: None from me

I have been a fan of the Cath Kidston range for some time now. The floral patterns that is on many of the products is just my thing and I have been slowly collecting a few Cath branded items over the past couple of years. They tend to be the smaller and slightly less expensive products so my glasses case and phone cover were my first purchases. I now have a few mugs and a key fob but my most recent Cath purchase was my Saddle Bag. I spent ages in the store browsing the bags as I wanted several but in the end I made my mind up and chose the saddle one and here are my thoughts on the bag.

Cath Kidston stores are not ones that you will find everywhere, there is an outlet in Selfridges in Birmingham which is my nearest place but when in Cardiff for a weekend with friends, I found an actual store and it was really lovely being able to look at all the products. The bag cost me £48.00 in the sale, at full price, dependant on what type of print you have on your saddle bag will cost you around the £68.00 which for me is a little pricey. You can get the Cath bags on eBay if you have a look around for a slightly less price but I think with an item like this it is best to get it from the genuine place. As shops are not always the easiest to get to, the Cath Kidston website is really good and you can also sign up to their mailing list from there, www.cathkidston.com

The bag itself is so well designed in my opinion; I love the print the material, the size and the comfort of it. The fabric is the oilcloth one that many Cath bags have become associated with. The oilcloth is great if you spill anything down it as you can wipe it off with a damp cloth or baby wipe! It is also water proof which was another reason for me wanting this material as I tend to walk to work or town and so a bag that's waterproof is a must.

The print on mine as I mentioned is the rose one and it works really well, I like the size of the bag and purposely chose it as it fits over the shoulder. The strap is made from a softer fabric and it sits really comfortable on my shoulder, the bag will then sit across the body and it works really well as it feels really lightweight. The strap is adjustable as I needed to lower my bag slightly when I first had it but this was a really simple process.

There is lots of room in the bag, it is quite deceiving, and there is an excellent amount of pockets. It has a couple of pockets on the side, I don't tend to use these as much as they are open so I don't find them that secure, there is however other pockets that are closable, there is the two on the front as well as there being the secure one inside, there is also a zip compartment in this. I find that there is a definite feel of quality about the bag and I can fit all sort of things in there, it is ideal for work as well as taking on shopping trips with me, it works well with a casual outfit as well as smart with my jacket for work.

I am sure you have already guessed that I am happy to recommend this bag, it really is a great buy and I use it everyday now, I don't leave the house without it!

5 out of 5 from me on this one

Thank you for reading

Summary: An excellent everyday bag
