Advantages: Stylish, functional, attractive, spacious.
Disadvantages: This really is the perfect handbag......
Ok so I got this handbag for Valentine's day from my adoreable other half. Basically I asked for it. I was perusing through the Debenhams website looking for something a little bit different and I came across the Nica range, and more specifically the Nica Nemo Work bag caught my eye. I hadn't ever heard of the brand before and the picture displaying the handbag drew me in immediately so I forwarded the link and hey presto the rest is history.
***ABOUT NICA***
The Nica brand was launched in 2006 and is typically a London based brand which has gained great success throughout the UK with it's signature designed charms, beading and embroidery inspired by countries all around the world setting the style apart from other brands to create a unique and individual style. Nica design handbags from the clutch to the work bag and purses in various sizes and styles, to suit any occassion.
As can be seen from the picture above, this particular bag is complete with what appears to be a floral charm, which can be detached from the actual bag, kind of like an unusually large keyring, which represents the Nica Signature.
***ABOUT THE BAG***
The bag itself is made of luxuriously soft faux leather and comes complete with the detachable hanging charm as explained above. I chose to go for this bag in Tan, but it is also available in Khaki, Coral and Blue. It can only be described as a shoulder bag with double handles. The clasp for fastening is magnetic and is made from antique brass making it incredibly easy to get into and relatively easy to close. Stitched into the side of the bag is a very subtle Nica label which is sky blue in colour with dark blue writing. The interior fabric is patterned with green flowers, hearts and the word Nica throughout and has little brown butterflies spread throughout. The bag has no dividers and is basically just one big bag with a zip compartment and a pouch for your phone. Personally I keep everything but the kitchen sink in here and I absolutely adore the bag.
The measurements are approximately 23cms high, 41cms Wide and 19cms Deep with a handle drop of approximately 21cm. If you visit the Nica website bynica.com you can find this lovely accessory for a mere £45.00, reduced from £60.00.
***WHERE CAN YOU BUY IT***
Nica are now appearing in a wide range of retail outlets such as Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis and so on. Prices vary depending on where you buy it but I have seen this little Gem for sale at ASOS for as little as £25.00 which is an absolute bargain for this handbag with an RRP of £60.00.
***MY OVERALL OPINION***
Well this is the first Nica bag I have ever owned and I have to say that I am totally over the moon with it, and will definately be looking to purchase some alternatives from the Nica ranges. It holds everything I need for my day to day activities so has all the functionality I need and lets face it - it's very attractive to look at. I think any woman would be proud to own a handbag from the Nica range. Stylish and unique, this is definately a trend setter for the 21st century.
Summary: The trend setter of the 21st Century
