Another fab purchase from Ollie & Nic

One of my favourite brands to buy bags and purses from is Ollie & Nic and I recently treated myself to a couple of their sale items. This Ollie & Nic Andie Barrel Bag was one of the items I bought.

      The Brand

I first encountered Ollie & Nic about seven years ago in my local shoe shop, who went out of their way to find individual and unique products. Ollie & Nic was launched in 2003 and so is a relatively new brand. Their first store was opened in Brighton and now they have over ten stores across the country as well as having products being sold in large department stores such as Debenhams.

      The Andie Barrel Bag

I was deliberating over two bags from Ollie & Nic's website that I wanted to purchase and choose the Andie Barrel Bag due to the fact that this was completely different to the other bags that I already own, I fancied something different.

The bag is a barrel shape, almost like the type that you see people carrying in bowling halls with a classic cylindrical shape and design. The bag has a vintage design and shape. I was quite surprised at the size of this bag when I first opened the packaging, as it is a lot smaller than bags that I am normally used to.

The dimensions are Height 15 cm, Length 25 cm and Depth 13 cm, however it is a perfect size for what I need to carry around.

The base of the bag is made of a black leather material that lines the base and bottom inch of the bag. On either side of the bag there is a stitched straw effect panels in a bold geometric design, coloured in beige and black. The side panels of the barrel bag are a beige leather material and there is a nice chunky zip across the top of the bag from either side, again lined with the beige leather.

The handles are a strong and sturdy black leather that are attached to the sides of the bag with nice gold rings. They are just long enough to hook the bag over your shoulder (if you have skinny arms!), but are also a good size to loop onto your elbow or just carry in your hands. The Ollie & Nic logo and branding is on a discrete gold plate on the front of the bag.

Once you have unzipped the bag you can see that it is lined with a lovely dark, floral and delicate printed material inside. I love that Ollie & Nic use lovely and funky contrasting lining in their bags and purses. The inside of the bag has one large zip pocket on one side of the lining and on the other two open pouches for your phone and little accessories.

I have started using this as my everyday bag and really love it and have been given lots of compliments my friends. It is very versatile and as well as looking stylish it is going to last me a very long time. I have bought many Ollie & Nic products and have always found them to be very good quality and fab merchandise.

This bag was in the sale at £25 down from £45 which I though was a bargain, online at http://www.ollieandnic.com. Delivery is £4.95 to the UK mainland. Love It :)
