Ollie & Nic Reggie Bench Shopper
I am always overfilling my handbags with 'necessities' that I seem to take to work; umbrellas, huge headphones, books etc. I often find myself hunting for an Asda carrier bag to carry all of these things around and decided to invest in a shopper bag.
Shopper bags are fab, a lot of brands now give you a complementary one with purchases in their shops and supermarkets sell quirky ones to encourage you to ditch the unwholesome plastic carrier bag.
Ollie & Nic have quite a few choices of shopper bags in different styles and fashions in their online shop (www.ollieandnic.com). They are designed as a reusable and environmentally friendly shopping/carrying aid. As well as being spacious, they are also compact and you can simply fold it up into a petite bundle and tuck it away in your handbag when you are not using it. This one is actually a lot better quality and more practical than a basic shopper bag.
The shopper bag has approximate dimensions of 38 cm length x 30 cm width and a depth of 0.2 cm when flat, the over the shoulder handle is roughly 14 cm. All of these shopper bags are of similar sizes. The handle is a lot more sturdy than other shopper bags that I have seen, with a woven nylon long handle which is also quite wide as well which helps with supporting the weight when you are carrying it.
Obviously overfilling these one shoulder bags can be bad for your spine and back.
The size of the bag is also interchangeable as it moulds to the objects that you put inside. I am quite guilty of over packing mine, but it's made of a decent and sturdy quality material that can cope with it.
This shopper bag is made of a synthetic/cotton fabric that has a waterproof coating and shine all over it. It is both strong and soft to the touch. It is also water resistant which is what we need in the UK! And instructions state that you can wipe this clean with a damp cloth without worrying about ruining the bag.
The pattern on this Ollie & Nic shopper is called the 'Reggie Bench', the base colour is coral and nice and bright. The pattern has quaint little shaded black benches all over it, with cute flowers and shrubbery in between these. The pattern is very quirky and fun and I would say pretty summery but I will use mine all year round.
The extras that you get with this shopper compared to the 'normal' shopper bag is that inside it is fully lined and also has an additional internal phone pocket and zip pocket to keep your more precious items separate and in one place, which often these bags do not have. The original RRP of this shopper bag was £18, which I would begrudge paying, I got this in the sale for £10 which is much more reasonable. But to be fair to Ollie & Nic the quality is much more I than would have expected for an item described as a shopper bag, it is more like a beach and everyday bag and is built to last.
Ollie & Nic is also sold in House of Fraser
