can be used daily for many different purposes, fashionable and goes with most outfits.

What appealed to me about this bag was not only the design, but the perfect size of the bag. I got this bag when I was travelling to college, as I thought it would be the perfect size to hold books in, but it would also be fashionable too. The bag was a good choice, as it held all of my books in perfectly, showing that it is very spacious. It also has two front zips which are useful for easy access to things, such as my oyster card. The inside of the bag also has a zip pocket- for all those secrets woman carry around with them!

Paul's Boutique has been classified as being a bit "chavy", but this bag is very stylish and suitable for many different kinds of fashion, as it doesn't stand out as being in your face, but is delicate in black and pink. Due to these colours, it also means that it will look great with most outfits, meaning that you can use it daily.

The bag is made out of what feels like snake skin material, which was very good in the rain, as it did not get ruined, and the things inside of my bag didn't get ruined either. It was also easy to clean, as I could just wipe it down, and being black, it didn't mark easily.

The handles on the bag had leather running though them, with gold holdings on the outside. I found this a little uncomfortable on a bare shoulder, but if I had a jumper on it was fine. The handles were also very strong- as I mentioned, the bag could hold all of my books.

With every Paul's Boutique bag, you get a unique charm, which I found was appealing to the bag, as it meant that nobody else had exactly the same bag as you. To get a better experience, go to the shop and buy the bag so that you can pick a unique charm that represents you!

For around £60, I felt that this bag was a bargain, lasted well, looked beautiful and was used daily, so I definitely think of this as an investment and would advise people to also buy this bag!

My Favourite PB Bag So Far.

Pauls Boutique is one of those brands that really is like Marmite. Some people think the brand and the bag designs are tacky and others simply love them and think they are really unique. I fall into the second category because I love the bags from this range because I would buy every single bag from this brand if I had the cash - and a place to store them all LOL. Anyway my family know how much I adore the bags so its highly likely that Ill end up with a bag for Christmas or my birthday each year because thats a present they know Ill get loads of use out of and really appreciate. Anyway thats what happened last Christmas I opened this 'Paul's Boutique Ellie Handbag' which Id had my eye on for ages. I had my eye on this one because even though its quite a bit cheaper than most PB bags its smaller which meant I could use it for every day use and the colour isnt AS bright as my other PB bags.

      Useful Information:
      Price: £45
Stockists: Selfridges, Bank, Cult & pauls-boutique.com
Available in: Blue [My colour], Pink, Green, Black, Gold & Snakeskin. One size only.
Other Info: Comes with customised charms, chain twin handles, leopard print lining & comes with two contrasting zips on the front.

Width: 38cm Height: 27cm - That actually makes it sound bigger than it is as Id say this bag is medium sized at the most. Small enough to use on a daily basis but also big enough to carry around anything you need - keys, phone, Ipod, make-up everything I own always fits comfortably in this bag without bending it out of shape. The shape of this as it looks in the picture is circular at the bottom and ruched on the sides - now I have to admit I assumed the shape would drop and wouldnt last but it has so far and I havent been putting it back into shape every time I put it away so I think the shape will remain.

So this bag in reality looks exactly the same as the image with this review - ecept the one I personally own is an electric blue. On the front are two small zips in a bright pink colour - which really stand out - but they also add extra space to the bag as they do open and have pockets inside rather then being just for show. Also on the front is the gold 'Pauls Boutique London' plaque which makes the bag look much more expensive in my opinion and also helps fight fakes - there are a lot of fakes out there when it comes to this brand. At the top there are two gold chain handles which have the same blue colour threaded through them to ensure the chains wont dig into your arm and that they fit in with the overall design and colour scheme much better.

To open this big there are two magnetic clasps at the top which click open and shit very easily when a little bit of force is applied. Now Id prefer if there was also a zip on the inside to ensure my stuff was extra safe but the clasps have never opened by themselves when Ive been carrying this around so even without the added security I crave I think this is pretty safe. The inside like all PB bags is made from really silky, leopard print material and this bag has a zip pocket and two smaller pockets on the inside. The smaller pockets are the perfect size for a mobile phone and my mascara and you can keep something you want to keep really safe in the pocket part. I think the inside would be quite hard to clean IF you got it dirty but I havent found this to get dirty easily so far - in fact it still looks in mint condition and I use this all the time.

Now I come to the charm. Each PB bag will have a slightly different charm attached to it so when you buy one of these bags a part of it is truly unique to you - well so PB say anyway! My charm is made up of ]: a red pom-pom, a small blue disc, a yellow square with another gold Pauls Boutique plaque attached, a dragonfly, an orange star and quite a few more so the charm is made up of loads of different colours making the bag look a little bit different. The charm is removable if you should want to attach it to a different bag or just remove it completely - although I dont see why you would want to do that. Normally the charms arent that greta quality I have to admit but this one seems to be lasting me - even the pom-pom hasnt started bobbling yet!!

      - - - - - - - -

I love the design of this bag - the colours, the quality, the charms, the inside and so many more things. I know most people wont like the price of this but if you use it as much as I do then it is well worth it in my opinion because it will last ages and you will get so much use out of it. This has quickly become my favourite of my 3 PB bags and I think it will remain that way for many years.

      Thanks For Reading.

        Disadvantages

I've had better quality bags from Primark!

Paul's Boutique is a brand which stocks fashion and accessory items. They are quite well known for their range of handbags, and are very popular within teenage girls and younger adult women. A lot of people view their bags as tacky, but I guess this is what makes them stand out, and I opted for the 'Ellie' bag, as it didnt' seem so bright and in your face as many of the others.

The bag itself is available in black snakeskin (as shown in the image), and I believe it is available in two other colours. One being a gold snakeskin, and the other a beige snakeskin. The bag I have is the black one, and it comes with shocking pink zips on the front, which I wasn't very sure about at first. It is a shoulder bag, and has gold chain handles. As with all Paul's Boutique bags, you get your own individual charm accessory clipped on to it, which consists of various colourful charms, a PB ribbon and a little pom pom. You can not determine which colours you will get unless you buy one from in store somewhere.

Paul's Boutique are stocked in a few different places, and these include Selfridges, Topshop.com, Asos.com, Bank, Cult.co.uk and the Paul's Boutique website (www.pauls-boutique.com) Mine was brought from the Paul's Boutique website as it is convenient, and generally always in stock. If you go into stores such as Selfridges or Bank, there is always a limited stock on this particular brand, therefore it is unlikely you will find this bag there, and that is why I would recommend purchasing it on the internet.

The bag itself cost £45.00 which is one of the cheaper Paul's Boutique bags, and I thought it was a fair price as I would be using it regularly for when I attend college. So nevertheless, I have had this bag now for six months, and I feel I can now review it properly.

When the bag arrived, I was very excited, and I took it out and explored it. It is 38cm x 27cm which is a nice size to use for work and college, as it isn't too bulky, but can fit all essentials in to it. Inside, the lining is all leopard print, and there is a zipped pocket inside it. On the opposite side, there is also another compartment which is split into two, and I keep my phone and iPod in these sections. On the front of the bag is the tacky pink zips, and I don't make use of these, but they are certainly acceptable to keep some things in if you are running out of room.

The chains on the bag are fairly short, therefore as a shoulder bag, it isn't that comfortable, and does often fall down, and I have to find myself holding it with my hands or on the middle of my arm, which is quite a nuisance! I wouldn't say it is awful for using as a shoulder bag, but it isn't quite practical enough for me.

I was really happy with how well this bag was going, until around two months of use, it just seemed to all break apart. I had so many faults with the quality of it, and for the price I paid, I definately didn't think it was worth it for a 'branded' item.

Firstly, charms off the chain started to fall off, which admittedly wasn't the biggest issue, but this is when I started noticing more faults. On the outside of the bag, there was bits of glue from where it had been manufactured, and when I tried to pick these off, the material would come off with it. Furthermore, inside of the bag delivered the most issues. There were holes within the leopard lining and it was all ripped, and the area which held my phone and iPod, which was originally two sections had now become one, due to the threading completely breaking.

The quality of this bag is awful, and I've had such problems with it. After six months, its still hanging on, but definately don't purchase this bag if you're intending to use it for everyday use. I felt it necessary to put this review up so that people think twice when spending so much on a Paul's Boutique bag, as many other people have had problems with their ones.

Overall, I am very impressed with how this bag looks, and I continue to use it, however the quality just does not live up to the price, and that is why I am going to rate this bag so badly. Thanks for reading!
