Paul's Boutique Padlock Bag
Advantages: Quirky look, individual, very fashionable
Disadvantages: Badge beginning to peel away, price may be a little steep for some
I had seen girls around college with quirky Paul's Boutique bags and fell in love with them. At first I had my heart set on the zebra print "Polly Padlock" but then changed my mind as this particular one seems to be really popular right now and I wanted one a bit different.
I ended up choosing the patent bright pink Polly Padlock bag, which i purchased from Cult in Glasgow for 65 pounds around a month ago. The bag is shiny, absolutely gorgeous and the colour really makes it stand out. Due to it being patent it is very easy to wipe clean - ideal for a bag which isn't exactly cheap as I want it too stay in good condition. I've been using mine approx 3 times a week(i dont take it to college as i have too many books to fit in it) and i only have a couple of dirty marks on the base which will wipe off easily.
On the front of the bag there is a large PB "Genius Never Dies" logo which I have noticed is starting to peel away from the patent a little. However this could easily be glued back into place. There is also a gold padlock with pink band around it and the Paul's Boutique plaque, both of which are very shiny also. It has a key attached to the handle, which fits the padlock but the padlock does not lock the bag- it is only for show.
My bag has a keychain charm instead of the rosette style ones seen on other PB bags - this consists of an orange pompom, gingham ribbon, PB tag against a yellow background and several different coloured beads, all on gold chains.
Normally i consider gold to be very tacky, but I can honestly say it looks fantastic with the pink on this bag.
The inside of the bag is lined with silky leopard print material. It has a zip compartment inside against the back which is big enough to fit a normal sized purse in, and two compartments against the front of the bag which have no zip. One is mobile phone sized and the other is slightly bigger. The big is a lot bigger inside than it looks.
The handles of the bag are not long enough for you to carry this bag on your shoulder, but it means you can show it off more as arm candy.
This is my favourite out of every bag i own, it is definitely money well spent.I wouldn't think twice about buying something else from the PB range. My friends all comment on my bag, even my 9 year old brother said it was very cool!
Summary: Can't wait for my next Paul's Boutique purchase!!!
