The Radley fold away shopper is a lovely item to carry with you all the time. Mine lives scrunched in the bottom of my day-day handbag.
The nylon/polyester type bag comes in a zip pouch to keep it nice and tidy.
The Radley dog is printed haphazardly on the textile.
The Worded Logo Radley is also on the bag
The bags fold into a 13cm round pocket that fits neatly into your handbag and is very light weight
The bag is about 43 x 34 cm plus handles. A medium pull out bag.
The Crazy Dog pattern is not the newest season design, but it is a lovely Radley accessory and was very popular. They are still doing this style of 'Pouch Tote' on their website along with similar shoppers. This particular design the Crazy Dog is available on ebay. The one I have is in a darker shade.
It is a personal choice if you like the Radley brand and want to purchase a middle end price foldaway shopping bag. However I do advocate it as a useful, pretty, durable item to possess. I like my Radley shopper because I feel it looks smart and seems to be lasting forever. I don't use mine for groceries, it is always with me and it is for when I decline a plastic carrier and put in cosmetics or clothing items. I also use it to carry spare shoes/flip flops or comfy flats! It holds just enough and the handles are quite long.
Years ago my nanna used to always have a nylon shopping bag or two when out on her trips. Maybe it was the days when you paid for your carriers I can't recall, but I remember it not being the trendiest of items. So it could be said that Radley are NOT being very innovative with this particular product.
With recycling being high on the profile it is more fashionable these days to have your own bags. This initially seemed a bit of an out of date item to me but I had a friend who had one. I was quite envious when she used it as it was very smart and looked nice whilst we were out and about. So I went and got one... They range from £9-£15 in an assortment of designs.
The ideal thing about this bag is that although I lost the pouch it lays nicely at the bottom of my bag and I have used it a lot and it is still holding up strong. I find carrier bags more bulky to have in my bag and hence they don't work for me. Other shoppers are usually thicker or don't seem to invisible like my Radley is, I think it is the material; that kind of nylon that scrunches flat.
I recommend this bag as the amount of times I have used covers the cost easily. It is practical yet stylish be proud to pull out that shopping bag!
I was bought this shopping bag by a friend, it is really nice and practical, a great purchase that I use regularly.
I love Radley bags and have a few in my collection now. This one was bought for me about 2 years ago and I still use it regularly and it remains in good condition.
This bag is really special because it folds away! It's great to help save storage space but also to have to store perhaps in the car or inside another bag for when you need an extra bag. It is made from a really light fabric, it reminds me of that that a rain mac is made from and it just folds up and slips into a little zip up bag which is about 15cm x 3cm so really small.
The bag I have is black and has little white and pale green Radley dogs all over it. There is no denying that this is a Radley bag!
It holds a lot and is really robust. Because it's made from a light material I was worried it wouldn't hold much but I've carried home my shopping in this before and it's been fine.
How I usually use this bag is for practical purposes so when I go shopping I put this in my handbag and then when I buy things I use this instead of a carrier bag. It helps to save all those plastic bags I would end up with otherwise! It's really practical for things like that.
It has quite a long handle, You can put it over your shoulder a bit but I usually just hold it by the handle by my side and it's a good length so it sits nicely against my leg.
It's comfortable to hold because it's thin, no bulky handle here.
I really recommend this bag, it's so practical it's great.
Radley Crazy Dogs Foldaway Tote
I love Radley, be it handbags, purses, even Tote Bags, Radley it is.
I like to have a tote bag or 2 with me, especially if I am in Wales as I don't like paying 5p for a carrier bag, and at Christmas I was lucky enough to receive a Foldaway tote bag.
The bag is a pink background with a beige pattern which is the dogs, this is same both sides of the bag.
The Radley tote bag is well designed, as it comes in a circular zip up case, which as first glance looks like a little round purse, but then you notice the zip and when you undo the zip out comes the bag and your never lose the case as it is attached to the handle.
The fabric is splash proof material.
One point that I found really good was the handle, it is a good size, and is versatile in the fact that you can carry in your hands, or equally as comfortable on my shoulder.
=Everything but the kitchen sink=
The bag has plenty of uses, from being on holiday and a day by the pool, suntan lotion, sun glasses, sarong, towel, book, drink, sweets, tissues, all fits in perfectly, to a little shopping trip, pop your odds and sods in here, to a day at college, for those course books, folder pencil cases
Although this was a Christmas Present, I had to order it, as my mum is not a silver surfer, she's got the silver hair, but her and computers don't mix. We got ours from House of Fraser and paid £18, as I was already buying another bag I did not have to pay postage, these can also be purchased from Radley (stores and online, Debenhams, House of Fraser and John Lewis).
This is an excellent quality bag, and for anyone who is looking to enter the Radley Market, this is an ideal started bag and I would defiantly not say no to another one.
=Would I recommend=
I would highly recommend this bag, it is strong, beautiful and fits perfectly is any handbag.
I've always loved Radley bags and I have a few leather ones, and a purse, but I always used canvas bag for life type shoppers when out and about. The only problem with the canvas bags is that they are quite bulky and cumbersome even when they are empty, and therefore I can't carry them in my handbag and have to leave one in the car.
So I was really pleased to receive this Radley Crazy Dogs Foldaway Tote as a little birthday gift, given that I love Radley and it has a pretty pink and beige pattern all over it. Foldaway bags used to have a bit of an old fashioned granny type stigma attached to them but these days with everyone using reusable bags and lovely modern bags like this available, I'm proud not to use plastic bags whenever I can.
The Radley Tote comes in a circular zip-up case much like a purse, when the zip is undone and the bag is pulled out, the little case is attached to the handle, which means you can never lose it! The bag itself is very well made and though the material is quite thin, it is splash proof, and it does hold plenty of shopping, I've carried a bottle of milk along other things in here and the seams are strong. The handle is a great size for a shopper - you can carry it like a regular carrier bag but you can also throw it over your shoulder, too, meaning it's great for a stand in gym bag, or to carry a change of clothes or shoes, or books for college and so on.
The great thing about this Radley Tote bag apart from the looks, is that it folds down small enough to go in your handbag and therefore it really is there when you need it. So handy. I know that £18 can seem expensive for a shopper (my husband advises he purchased it from the Radley shop in Manchester's Trafford Centre, you can also get them online and at John Lewis, Debenhams and House of Frasier), but it really is a lovely bag, well made and will last a very long time even with regular use. I do highly recommend the Radley Crazy Dogs Foldaway Tote, it's had plenty of use for me and I plan to buy my mum one for Christmas.
A five out of five for a lovely practical bag from Radley!
I received this little Radley Crazy Dogs Foldaway Tote Bag from my mum as a stocking filler at Christmas. It's something that I never would have thought to buy for myself in a million years, and if I'm honest when I received it I actually didn't think that I would end up using it!
It's basically a nylon foldaway shopping bag which folds and packs away into its own little neat nylon pouch, the shopping bag is attached to the pouch with a little cord so that there's no danger of losing the pouch, and the little pouch even fastens with a zipper so that your shopping bag is neatly contained inside it. Both the shopping bag and the pouch are made from recycled fabric. The pouch is really very small and will easily fit into even the smallest handbag, it's also extremely lightweight - it weighs virtually nothing.
The shopping bag is reversible; it has lots of the little Radley dogs printed all over one side of the bag (hence the name Crazy Dogs I guess), and the other side of the bag is just plain. It has two fairly long shoulder straps, you could carry it by hand I guess but I find that it drags on the floor a little bit this way, maybe that's just because I'm short though! Even though it's just a slim shopping bag it's actually surprisingly roomy and I can fit absolutely loads of stuff in it. It's superb quality as well, I've filled it full to bursting on many occasions and it's carried many a heavy load and it's not ripped or started to fray at all.
This is a fantastic alternative to a plastic carrier bag from the supermarket, it's perfect to carry my shopping home in style. I also find it useful for lugging folders and paperwork home from work in. It's a handy addition to a small handbag for carrying my day to day essentials that won't fit into a smaller handbag; such as spare shoes, lunch, kindle, magazines, work folders etc. It's a cute and fun little bag and it's really quite stylish, I've had loads of comments whilst using this asking where I got it from. I always just keep this in my handbag now as I find it that it does actually come in handy for so many different things.
I've actually had loads of use out of this little bag, it's been brilliant. In fact I've often wondered whether to get myself another one as well, I haven't yet as I'm kind of hoping that my mum might get me another one! My mum reliably informs me that this was £15.00 from the Radley store.
This Radley fold away tote shopping bag was a lovely stocking filler of a present I got at Christmas. Now a shopping bag isn't generally a romantic present but I was more than pleased to get this one with the cute Radley doggies on it.
This foldaway tote bag comes packaged in a round circular handbag size pouch. The pouch is attached to the bag via a stitched on strap which I find useful as it mean the bag and pouch never get separated. The circular pouch is around 15 cm in diameter and has a zip to keep the bag inside the pocket pouch. On one side of the pouch is information displaying the bags green credentials as the fabric is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles meaning not only is it better for the environment by replacing plastic carrier bags but it is made from recycled material too this I find to be a nice green touch from Radley. The opposite side of the pouch has four of Radley's cute little Scottie doggies on some sporting neckerchiefs and others little doggie coats. My bag is in a black and green design with the doggies and flowers on it being in green a blue and the background being black. This colour wave I think it is nice contrasting of colours that stands out well give a nice clear sharp image. The pouch I find to be a very hand size to keep in my handbag for when I need a shopping bag whilst out. The pouch is excellent at holding the bag itself and there is enough space to fit the bag into it between uses with out taking a degree in origami folding to get into the pouch which has been my difficulties with some cheaper fold away tote bags.
The bag itself when taken out is very cute in its design one side is plain back with just the Radley name and London emblazoned upon the top. The other side which is the side I guess you are to display to the world has more of those cute doggies on the theme of doggies in Neckerchiefs and coats from the pouch is continued to the bag alongside some flowers and butterflies for the doggies to look at. Personally I find it a very delightful set of images which makes me smile and has often raised the odd comment from people when they have seen the bag in use.
The handles to the bag are excellent are long enough for them to worn over the shoulder which I find useful if you are carrying say a magazine and a few bits as I find it easier to carry this way and the bag nestles nicely against my hips and the top of my thighs and doesn't bounce around too much. The handles are easy to hold in your hand too without the bag getting caught up in your legs or dragging on the floor which given I am 5 foot 2 is and important consideration.
The base of the bag rather than it being just two sides joined together has a piece of material about five cm wide sewn across it giving the bag a base which is useful I find if you are carrying small bottles or boxes as they can rest flat on the bottom of the bag meaning everything stores a lot better in the bag as you carry it.
So far I have been impressed by it weight carrying abilities and have managed to carry in it a litre bottle of milk and a few basic grocery items. However I haven't dared risk using it for my vegetable and fruit shop from the market as the bag is quite thin and I don't want to risk the bag becoming damaged. This I think would be my only real critique of the bag that it isn't maybe substantial enough to carry a heavy shop, I maybe wrong but as I can't find anyway on the bag or the net a maximum weight limit suggested for the bag I really don't want to tempt fate and risk using the bag for this purpose.
As my bag has the black background colour it is also very easy to keep clean and if it has got some mud, or other spills on it I find they wipe of it nice and easily with a baby wipe to keep it looking fresh and clean as and as good as new.
I would definitely recommend this toe shopping bag for Radley fans as it is a cute handbag essential for those shopping bag emergencies. It is very environmentally friendly as it is not only reducing the amount of plastic bags you will use but it made from recyclable plastic too. The bag fits nicely on the shoulder to carry the shopping home or back to the office in. At £18 normally form the Radley website it is more a treat item I think but as mine is holding up well I do think it is worth its money for a cute shopping bag and one I am always happy to be seen sporting.
