A lovely cheap lunchbag that stands out from the crowd

I change my lunchbag for school fairly regularly as firstly it gets pretty tattered but secondly I find it simply gets quite grubby despite cleaning it out every day when I get home from work. So, I was determined to purchase something cheap so it didn't matter if it only lasted a little while. At the same I was looking for a little bag I could put in little bits and pieces of snacks etc for my daughter when we are out and about, something that she would carry with her and could hold. It was on amazon that I noticed they sold these really cute charlotte bags of various designs retailing at £2 but with postage on top. So, having some money on an amazon voucher I bought two, one a pink polka dot for my daughter and this Japanese Suki design for myself. Given the price, I wasn't expecting terrific quality and I didn't mind because it wasn't something I was probably going to be keeping for a long time anyhow, and when the two products arrived, they were quite thin and paper like but at the same time were a good size for a lunchbag and each one had a lovely little carry handle. These bags are made from recycled plastic bottles and I love supporting environmentally friendly products so the sides of the bag are like a waterproof plastic/paper quality, but they are wipeable which is great. There is a little zip that goes around the top to keep all the contents in place. It would be a good idea to have a good look at the measurements of the bag before you buy - L 23cm x width 12cm x height 20cm otherwise you might get a bit of a surprise. Now, although I opted for the Japanese Suki design, I only picked it because I thought I thought it looked girly, but a bit too old for my daughter, but not too young for me! Its not that I am into japanese style fashion so I don't know much about it, but I think it looks cute, and the little figures make it colourful. I have had this bag now for at least a month as has my daughter and I have been very very happy with it. It is the perfect size for my lunch to work, and even if something spills it is easily wipeable, well so far anyhow! I am really pleased with the design and it has been admired by many of my work colleagues. The handles are the perfect size for a lunchbag carrier. I like the fact that it is made from recycled materials and even when this bag serves its time I would be very tempted to get one exactly the same again! A great little lunchbag!

Quirky and fun designs, and great value

My daughter wanted a new lunchbox, and being too old for character designs and rather fashion conscious, she wanted something a touch more grown up and stylish. Since she has access to a fridge at school, it wasn't important that the box be insulated, and having purchased a couple of Rex Internationals Charlotte bags before in different designs, I knew that they were hard-wearing, a decent size, and that the designs were quirky. I let my daughter choose her favourite print, this Suki design, which features lots of cuddly looking little Japanese girls in colourful traditional outfits on a light baby pink background. Like all these bags, it's a boxy square shape with small carry handles, and made of a wipe clean fabric that is tough and hardwearing- very much like those old fashioned laundry bags. The boxy shapes mean the bag can stand up on it's own on a table, and at 23x20x13 cm, it's a good size for a packed lunch, easily holding a sandwich, yoghurt, drink, fruit, and crisps. I actually have a few of these bags myself, as I've always found them not only attractive and quirky in terms of pattern, but also incredibly cheap - this one is £2.95, but depending on the pattern you want, they are £1.95 upwards. They are also available as larger laundry bags at 5.95. I use the smaller ones as occasional handbags, and as make up bags, and the larger ones are great for shopping. There are also foil lined lunch bags available, which I would have purchased had my daughter not had access to a fridge at school. These bags are attractive, easy to carry, hardwearing, quirky, and cheap - I really think they are great value, and will continue buying more when new patterns come out! Available on Amazon, 5 stars.
