      A lovely purse!

For my birthday this year I had asked for a new purse and I had asked for one specifically from River Island because I think they are functional but also really nice and trendy. My friend had tried to get me a black purse but struggled and so bought me a creamy coloured clip top purse with stitching detail.

The purse is quite large, which is often the style in River Island anyway. It is made of a material which is designed to look like leather but obviously isn't! It is a creamy colour but the website does say it is light brown, I don't think it is brown in the slightest and certainly more a cream colour. The purse has stitching all over it in a curved pattern and I really like the look of the stitching on there as I feel it breaks up the cream colour and makes it look more trendy and less plain. Also on the purse is a metal gold trim and matching golden coloured River Island badge which really compliments the colour of the purse.

The purse has two different sections available for use. The front section is accessed by lifting the front panel which is fastened by a press stud. In this section at the front you have space for four banks cards or something of equal size such as a boots advantage card. The cards are easily removed from this section when required so I do keep my most used cards there. In the underside of the top part of the purse there is space for a photograph and another five cards. These spaces are much tighter than the ones on the front of the purse though and so I leave cards I don't need much in there because they are really hard to get out! In the centre of this section there is a zipped section where I keep my coins as well as a side section which is ideal for notes although currently a mirror with a picture of Matt Cardle sits there in my purse which was a jokey gift from my sister.

The second section of the purse opens via a golden clip top and is simply two sections with no zips or anything. I tend to store stamps, vouchers and receipts in this section.

This is a great purse and it has plenty of space for my needs. As I said it is quite a large purse measuring around 20cm by 10cm but it fits nicely in to my daily use bag. For nights out I do tend to use a smaller purse as I usually take out a smaller bag. In terms of the colour, whilst I do like it, I would have preferred to have it in black because my purse does have marks in some places simply because of the light colour.

This purse is available on the River Island website for £17.00 and it does make a lovely but functional gift.

Thank you for reading my review!
