Advantages: Range of colours available, lots of compartments, good quality
Disadvantages: Price
I have became a huge fan of a lot of accessories by Ted Baker lately, and it all started when I saw a range of purses by Ted Baker that I immediately fell in love with and wanted in every single colour. The purse I own is the same shape as the one in the image but in a different colour. The image above really does not do this purse justice and so if you search for a Ted Baker purse online you will see what they are actually like and the range of different colours available.
The purse I own is cream on the outside and like a coral, light orange colour on the inside. As there are so many colours available and also every season they bring a new style out where the clasps and colours are different, it took me a while to decide on which one to buy, and I wasn't willing to buy any due to the price of them! The one I own and the one on which I am writing a review on is priced at £69 and is still available from some retailers such as ASOS.com, eBay and Amazon. As new styles are out now though this exact one is no longer available from Ted Baker online and I haven't seem them recently in department stores such as Debenhams and House of Fraser, which is where I originally came across them. However the new styles that are available are very similar to mine except from the clasp and so I imagine the quality will be just the same as the one I own.
This purse is also available in a slightly smaller size for £59, but I really wanted the larger one so it would be more noticeable when carrying it around!
As there are so many different colours to choose from I won't list them all here, but if you ever walk past the Ted Baker section in a department store I can guarantee the display of purses will catch your eye as they do stand out, or alternatively you can just search online to see all the colours.
I will now explain the detailing of the purse as it can't be seen in the image above. To open the purse you need to pull the flap apart which is attached with a very secure button. I have had plenty of purses where zips or buttons have eventually just broken meaning i could never shut my purse properly, but thankfully this one has yet to let me down and I think it will last me a very long time yet. Once opened there is a section on the inside of the flap for 8 cards to be stored, one of these can be a photo too as the bottom part is see-through. I have actually left the card in mine that states 'Ted Baker London' though. On the other side of the purse it pulls out where notes and things like vouchers or receipts can be stored. You then have the part which is closed by the clasp and where I keep my coins. This part is very secure and doesn't open easily so no coins ever fall out. I have had plenty of purses in the past where I have gone to get money out and instead it is all at the bottom of my bag instead as it fell out! On the side of this part there is also another part to store 4 more cards, and this is where I keep my cards that I tend to use the most as I think they are easier to get to. Lastly, there is a zip on the outside of the purse where I
Just above some stitching on the inside of this purse on the coral coloured part of the material, which is leather (mustn't forget to mention that!) "Ted says, the more you give you get." is imprinted into it. I really like this little bit to it and I have noticed that a lot of the Ted Baker products have little mottos printed inside them somewhere.
A lot of Ted Baker products, including all of the purses have a soft material inside them which is grey with butterflies on it, this is on the parts of the purse that fold out and so cannot be seen unless you open the purse, and also on the inside of the zip part, but I do love it and I like that different materials are used and it isn't all just the same colour etc on the inside.
As I previously mentioned their are a few different clasps that you can choose from on these purses as they do keep changing. The clasp on mine is in the shape of two hearts that you pull apart from each other and one has 'T' on and the other 'B' on it. The clasp has a gold outline and the letters are in gold, the inside of the hearts are the same coral colour as the inside of the purse. These will differ depending on the colour of the purse and so there is likely to be a colour for everyone.
Overall I love this purse and have owned it for almost 3 months now. I almost ruined it after 2 weeks of purchasing it when I took it to a concert in my bag and it was raining all night which ran through my bag and made dye run on the outside of my purse. As the outside is a patent material it luckily came off after scrubbing it for ages, but I will never make that mistake again! As the purse is cream the dark dye was very noticeable on it and I thought it would be ruined, but even after scrubbing it away it hasn't affected the material and you can't even tell anymore.
I recommend this purse to anyone who likes a large purse with lots of different compartments for storing cards and money, but alternatively there is a smaller one available that also has a lot of compartments. There is bound to be a colour for everyone, which is a problem for me as I now want this in more colours! It is quite expensive for £69 which I have never paid for a purse before, I managed to get 10% off mine when House of Fraser had a promotion on so it was slightly cheaper, but I do think it would make a great gift for somebody, especially those who love Ted Baker like I do. It also comes in a Ted Baker gift box.

Summary: A lovely designer purse that would make a great gift.
