Warehouse is one of the few brands that I'm loyal to and most of the people who know me knows it. Awhile ago, one of my mother's friend came to stay at our house while her flat is being renovated. Since all the rooms in our house is in use, she ended up staying in my room for about 5 days. By all means, she is a very nice guest to have in the house. At the end of her stay, she gave this bag to me as a present for letting her stay in my room for a few days. Bless her, she told me that she doesn't really know about fashion but my mum told her that I like Warehouse products so she chose the bag that she thought I would like. Fortunately, I do love the bag.
This warehouse large colour block satchel follows the on-going trend of colour block bags. The main three colours on the bag are the pretty pale pastel pink, the brooding mustard yellow and the natural tan colour at the centre. The shoulder strap also has the natural tan colour. The bag also has the hand handle and the buckles with dark lavender colour. Personally, I really like the colour combination as the main colours complement a lot of my clothes. I am a fan of pastel colours and most of my clothes are towards the lighter shades of colour spectrum.
Since I received this for free, I don't really know how much it was. However from my internet search, this comes up to £38 which is not the cheapest price tag I have to say. Especially since similar bags from Accessorize would be retailed at around £30. Anyway, I got it as a present so I have no complaints with the price.
The description says that it is a 'large' colour block satchel, however personally I don't consider it as a large bag at all. Mainly because I won't be able to use this bag for uni. This bag is the perfect size for a perfect day out or a day trip to London. Last time I went to london, I used this bag and I was able to fit everything I want to that includes a 500 ml water bottle, a small umbrella, my purse, phone, a ticket holder and my make-up. For a satchel I guess it is quite spacious and it does make a nice bag for shopping and meeting friends.
One thing I love about this bag is that it has a clasp to keep all my belongings safely contained. This is especially useful when I'm out and about in London and I don't have to worry about my purse being stolen etc. It also has a phone pocket but I never put my phone in it anyway. It has a middle zipped compartment inside, which is useful for keep tickets and so on. Due to its lovely combination of colours, this has become one of my main bags as it is quite easy to match it with a lot of outfits.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoy using this bag. I have had this for a few months now at least and the edges don't look that worn out which is a big plus. £38 is a big expensive for a satchel since you can easily buy a larger and nice looking tote with that price, but for those fashionistas this warehouse colour block satchel might be a staple in their wardrobe.
Thank you for reading and reviewing. :) x
I'd be the first to say that I'm not really one for fashion. I don't follow trends and I've never been overly bothered about clothes. That said, I do like to look nice when I can, and being a poor student and not being able to afford anything new was a bit of a pain. Until I got a job recently and was able to afford to buy a few new items, most of what I'd been wearing was stuff I'd had for years. This included my handbag, which I bought in Spain about a year and a half ago, and was still using even though the clasp had broken and it didn't close properly. With an increased income I decided that it was time to get something new that wasn't falling apart, and thus my search for a new handbag began.
A lot of the stuff that I found was a bit bland or boring or at least nothing I was enthusiastic about owning or spending money on. That was, however, only until I found this bag in Warehouse. It's pale pink and yellow colours jumped out at me at once, as it is certainly very different to the usual blacks and beiges that you see everywhere. At first I wasn't sure whether or not it was very 'me' and so I held off buying it when I first saw it. After a few days thinking about it, however, I decided that I did really like it and so went back to get it.

You can see the bag in the picture and so I won't describe it too much. The length is around 50cm, so although it's described as 'large', it definitely isn't a massive bag. There is a handle as well as a shoulder strap, and the bag clasps shut in the front. Inside there are two main sections as well as a phone pocket, a zipped pocket at the back and a larger zipped one in the middle, which I use to keep my passport in. This bag doesn't have as much space in it as my previous one, despite being around the same size, but the several zip pockets does mean you have extra security when carrying around things as important as passports.
== What I Thought ==
I love this bag. I'm very glad that I went back and bought it as I have not regretted buying it at all. I often wear plain black outfits to work and this bag certainly helps to make me look less boring and plain. It also goes with non-plain outfits, as the colours aren't too bright and so don't clash with anything you're wearing (although I probably wouldn't wear a strong print along with this bag, as it'd probably be too much). Although I occasionally find it hard to get the bag to close because I carry a lot of stuff with me, that's more because I always carry a bottle of water with me, which takes up a lot of space, so most people wouldn't have trouble fitting everything they need in here.
Another thing that I like about this bag is that everyone else likes it. As well as my flatmates commenting on how nice it is, all the girls in my office have pointed out how nice it is, with one even ringing me from the other side of the room to ask me to stop sitting it on my desk as it makes here jealous. Considering that I'm not much of a fashionista it is nice to have something that makes me look more stylish than I actually am.
== Conclusion ==
This is a lovely bag which I highly recommend. It goes with outfits both plain and coloured, with its pastel pink and yellow making it stand out and look interesting without being loud or garish. At only £38 it's also good value for a bag, especially considering that it's one of the cheapest ones that Warehouse sell. There is also a smaller satchel in the same style but coral and cream, which I also really like, but think it would be too much to have two such similar bags. I highly recommend this bag and wouldn't think twice about buying it again if I lost or damaged it.
