HP iPaq Pocket PC Hx2490:
... m rather in love with this PDA, but it wasn t without its teething problems. I bought it mainly because I wanted to try and organise my calendar, and also so I could take around professional manuals without breaking my back. It does both of these things very well, and is very nippy. The load time for all the applications I run is minimal, and it seems to cope well with doing several things at once. The design is ... Acer N50 ... and slow... I bought this to run medical reference and medication prescribing software for my practice as a doctor at a local hospital. Initially I was impressed by the way the pocket PC allowed bedside access to full medical texts and information but I soon discovered that the machine itself was desperately unreliable, reseting itself and losing information without warning. The shop where I bought it was sympathetic but unable to reproduce the, admittedly intermittent, fault. Which basically meant I was stuck with the machine. It is now a very expensive paperweight and I cannot possible recommend this make of machine to anyone - my colleagues use Dell pock... Read the full review: Unreliable and very frustrating by Dr M |

T-Mobile MDA Pro ... soon as i like the MDA I,II,III i decided to try them MDA IV or MDA Pro for one week. On the first look i was amazed by functions. This MDA is not looking like an ordinary PDA - it is closer to the small laptop. Display is great and i was able to read web pages very comfortable because of high resolution. 2 cameras had no use for me while i take photos by photocamera and i dont use skype for camera that is inside. The keyboard is excellent - very comfortable and fast to write a message and seemed durable. The backlight is automated - when you are on the spot with worse visibility the keyboard backlight turns off and the keyboard is very well backlighted. After first a... Palm Tungsten E2 ... can t comment about it too much because it s the wifes - but one issue she had was the screen needed recalibration to the stylus...which proved unsucessful. The PDA wasn t picking up the right coordinate of where the stylus was and therefore, given the small screen, it would take you into a different application which had it s icon just below where you clicked/tapped. Replaced this weekend by Argos - let s see if this proves ok. I ve also heard about an issue with the PDA returning fullstop when in text mode when you press the backspace. She has had this also but this seems intermitent. AJ... Read the full review: Does the job - reasonably priced. Had a major issue. by apjordan |
