As a massive reader- my house was beginning to cram up with books and I was very quickly running out of places to store them. I had heard about Kindles but wasn't sure it was for me as I work at a computer all day and didn't fancy spending my evening reading another screen in the evenings so I put off buying one.
A few months ago I took ill, and ended up in hospital for five days. During this time my husband bought me a kindle so I could read in bed during my stay. I have never looked back since! This is the greatest invention! So handy, easy to read and use , can store all the books I could possibly want and is light so I can pop it in my bag without it taking up too much space. I have found that it is not as straining on the eyes as I thought it would be- at least it's no more so than a book and the battery life is great.
I would definitely recommend one of these for any keen reader- it's so much better than carrying around bulky books and it saves me money as to download the books is cheaper than buying a hard copy. It's also very easy to set up and buy a book which is great.
