right as i have only just brought this product it is a first kind of glimpse of the product for you. I have bought the 16gb wi-fi version-tried to keep the price low, and paid 429 pounds. For that price you would have to expect a premium product which could almost live up to the standard of a laptop, wouldn't you agree?
Now i don't want to start on a negative note but i feel the ipad is still to basic to justify the high prices set, i believe £300-500 would have been more acceptable from lowest to highest in their range. I think you are probably paying very much for that "all-important" apple logo.

The positives of this wonderful device are that it has significantly been sped up from its brothers and predecessors (iphone and itouch) where opening and closing apps seems to be much faster than my previous iphone. This is also true when typing which is a much nicer and more responsive feature on a larger keyboard.

The battery life is definitely one of the plus points with an average of around 9 hours of doing normal things with the screen always on (email,light duty apps) and as always apple have produce a machine which can handle good sound and video quality. This leads on to the point that i love the new screen which is much more detailed when turned on and just adds to a better overall experience. You also can't fault apple on creating a relatively light device to hold but gets slightly tiresome after a few hours i felt.

My only major problems at the moment is the fact the size of the screen makes it almost completely noticeably to anybody who sees you holding one, you get that odd look as they are stunned and are obviously thinking, "is that really an IPAD,lets keep staring to see what it looks like".

i can imagine until the novelty wears down it will only be used in private places and iphone which can be stuck in a pocket will be still used as primary music player.

Final thoughts i leave you with are : is this device necessary for your life? or is it just to see how much attention you can get.
