My Husband bought me this for Christmas with a £25 Orange contract. I can desbribe it in one word. Brilliant. I very rarely use my laptop now as this is always in my hands or on my lap or in my handbag. It comes on virtually instantly (instead of having to wait at least 5 mins for the laptop). I run my accounts through this using an accounts app. I can manage all my online accounts. It is as fast as my Sony laptop even though it is only supposed to have about 256 meg of ram and is only equivilant to about a 1.1 ghertz processor.

I can use my wifi when I am in the house so saving download costs. I used to use my Sony Reader for ebooks, but have now switched over to the IPad as it works brilliantly for this. I have my Kindle books on here too. I am so dependant on this lovely little device, that when it hung the other night I went into a blind panic at what I was going to do without it! It only needed a cold reboot and it was fine again. A rogue app had caused it to hang and removing the app sorted the problem. I have not used any of the other tablet machines on offer, so am unable to offer a comparison opinion, but can only say that I have nothing but good experiences with this and find it so useful. I do still need to use my laptop from time to time, but I can see that the future of computing lies with tablet PCs.

I think this has been the best gadget buy that we have ever made. I am thinking of getting my husband one for next Christmas as he is using his phone for internet use now and if he has one of these for in the house on wifi connection then we can cut down our phone costs and go to pay as you go. I cannot reccomend the IPad more strongly. It is a stylish and efficient piece of equipment. The cost my be on the high side but it is worth every penny.
