Advantages: Qwerty Keyboard, Design, Leather Back

Disadvantages: Occasionally Freezes

From a really young age I've always gone down the route in buying PayAsYouGo mobile phones and always after three or four months I decide to go for a different mobile like most teenagers who are addicted into spending their money on mobiles. As my mother didn't want me to go on a contract I really just kept splashing the cash on different mobiles this was on the market at the time. After my second year of College I was wondering what I should do, I was looking at the HTC Touch Sprint Pro Smartphone which was at the time not out as a teenager I'm guess I'm not the most patient one and when this Smartphone caught my eye with its elegant look and name "Blackberry Bold", just deeply feel in love with it and couldn't take my eyes off it. So after searching around 30 different websites reading reviews and mostly watching people on YouTube show the feature of the device which really made me want it more.

((Contract))
After long periods of the day looking though all most every mobile network contract offers on the internet which was in my low price range budget I went for T-mobile which I had no experience dealing with at all. But at the end of the day it was the shortest contract I could find at the time the only thing I hope is that I don't turn back to my old ways of purchasing mobiles at the dozen. My contract isn't the best for value, well to be honest it's actually in most people's eyes you'll be thinking what he was doing maybe foolish but I just love this Smartphone. Contract 12-month, 500 minutes and 500 texts, £30.00 month.

((Appearance))
I'll start off by telling Blackberry fans the back of the mobile phone to me is one of the best features imaginable it has to be the leather internal design which really shows how formal this mobile looks and feels, big thumbs up. The full Qwerty keypad is a great pleasure to work with it really is a big improvement from other Blackberries I've seen over the years the keys are spread out just equally and they're raised at one edge so you can easily distinguish between each one. The feel of the QWERTY keyboard is a nice touch as it doesn't feel to delicate to press. 9/10. The Bold's screen is also impressive. RIM claims the Bold got its name during user were testing the device, when many people remarked how 'bold' the screen looked, which to me is a nice way to get then name out of your product. The screen is indeed very sharp excellent for watching videos, reading emails, reading SMS and writing Memos. 10/10 Blackberry

((System))
Well to me I didn't find the system to hard to understand or pick up which I thought the system was a great piece of kit to deal with as I'm unfortunately not gifted of having a high standard of intelligence towards many things or products. The interface system is easy to explore and nice to the eye while some features may be hidden somewhere where you'll least expect them to be e.g. changing the message tone, only thing that took weeks in finding. Setting up email is fairly straightforward, you can use BlackBerry internet service to setup a variety of email accounts, which is a great add on to have, including Microsoft Exchange. The Bold's Internet browser is equally easy to use, rendering pages in a desktop format, although it doesn't support Flash which I have no clue why they didn't include.

((Features))
Intermittent use of all the features on the device makes the mobile lasted around a day before needing to be recharged, which isn't bad considering everything you're likely to use it for, but may be a pain charging each day, 5/10 The loudspeakers can be set to go very loud, which is useful for hands-free or conference calls another great feature that gives it the name "Bold". Less satisfactory is the Bold's 2-megapixel camera. It didn't take great shots in daylight and with only an LED photo light, didn't overwhelm at night either. But don't let this cloud your judgement on the device its self 4/10

((Conclusion))
If your a big Blackberry fan something really to look into, but with the device taking such a long time to turn on after you've took the sim card out and put if back in again it really does let you down in that department, well so far I have had no problems and really love the way the Smartphone looks it sure is a nice mobile to deal with, thanks Blackberry for introducing this phone into the market. My opinion on this Smartphone is an essential for any first time Blackberry buyer, as this was the first time I have ever turned to Blackberry before and no going back. Good Job overall 9/10
