Advantages: Screen, Operating System, Email
Disadvantages: Arkward menus occasionally
The blackberry bold is the first Blackberry (owned by Research in Motion) to have 3G capabilites and in comparison to my old Balckberry curve 8900, boy is this fast both when using the internet and while in navigation menus.
The most evident cvhange opn this phone in comparison to other blackberrys is the newly introduced operating system, 4.6 which provides a sleek looking interface coupled with easy to navigate menus using the attractive buttons.
Another thing which will strike you as stunning about the phone, apart from its elegant look is the 480 by 320 screen. This screen is a beast and in comparison to an iPod touch trumps it in quality and visibility. I have watched a whole film on it and constantly been in awe of the amazing quality.
The phone itself, i have been told is not much bulkier than an ipod touch ad despite being slightly heavier than other smart phones, does not prove to be much of a pain to carry around. For the average consumer. like me, the phones multimedia capabilites whichi include playing mp3 and mp4, .mov and even .avi video files are far superior to other phones where the videos have to be converted first.
The business features such as the calender and email prove to do easy to use (even my mum could use it!) and very useful in most places.
Overall this phone is an excellent blackberry for both budsiness users and the average consumer.
