Dell Axim X50 Bluetooth GPS ... well, albeit very slow due to the limits of Bluetooth technology. The screen is very durable and has not had any screen protector on it what-so-ever but it does not show marks at all. The stylus, as with all, is fiddly and rubbish; roll on a Windows Mobile OS with stylus-free interface like the iPhone and most other smart phones on the market. The device lacks SDHC support due to the OS and Dell in their wisdom does not offer Windows Mobile 6 to purchase or as a free download so us Axim owners are stuck with an old and sometimes temperamental OS. Dell Axim X51v ... out of the box my axim was working perfectly. Although I had a few difficulties working out how to connect to a network, once you know how to do it it is relatively easy. The microsoft office 6.1 works well however if you are intending to use it for large scale word processing then I would advise purchasing a bluetooth keyboard as the touchscreen keyboard is very time consuming and wearing on the eyes and the letter recogniser and transcriber are as usual very temperamental. The battery life isn t what you d call decent and buying a larger battery ruins the design ergonomics. Overall I think it is a very capable pocket pc. The official RRP is quite high however ...
