Advantages: Cleaner OS, neat hard shell design

Disadvantages: No TypeII compact flash slot

Well, had the screen been better, this would have been the best pocket PC in its generation. Lets look at the Spec objectively....The Compaq device has a 200Mhz+ processor...but do the tiny applications that the pocket pc's need really need more than the 133Mhz of the Jornada. I admit that having 32Mb internal storage is handy, but personally, (as i keep my WMA's on a flash card) I find the 16Mb more than adequate! The word files are so small. The new CE operating system is vastly improved on its predecessors. A carbon copy of the Windows9x desktop was simply too complex for the (very) small screen. Pocket PC leads to a far less cluttered screen. The jornada's screen doesnt show very much in direct sunlight but the "shell" can be used as a "sheild". I love my jornada, and if you do have the extra cash floating around, go for that 32Mb RAM in the 548. However, i promise....the 545 will never be any dissapointment!
