It's not the fastest and this can lead to the odd dropped letter when typing quickly but on the whole its as good as you can get in most laptops and better than any other PDA. Forget most of the criticisms of Win CE. It isn't Microsoft Office but for all normal purposes it's fine. Active Sync works well in exchanging documents between the HP and my PC running Office.
