Advantages: Budget Price, High Specification, Based on Windows OS

Disadvantages: None at all!

I have owned a string of PDAs (Casio, Palm...), but this is the most outstanding of them all. Check the specification out: 400MHz CPU, 64 MB RAM, dazzling colour TFT screen, integrated Infra-Red and Bluetooth connectivity, Universal Remote Control (yes, you can even control your TV, video and DVD player with it!), all operating on Microsoft's Mobile 2003 OS so you get good audio and video capabilities too. Integration/Synchronization with (and backup to) the PC is easy, thanks to MS ActiveSync.

It is one of the few PDAs to offer both Compact Flash and Secure Digital expansion slots, and there is a wide range of accessories - everything from a Wireless Keyboard (by Targus at www.targus.com/UK) to a 5 GB storage card. Of course, there is a huge range of software (try www.handango.com/home.jsp) with which to take advantage of it, and lots of add-on hardware/accessories (try www.pdamods.co.uk). You can also get hold of lots of free software, including eBooks.

On the other side, I am an experienced PDA user so I am used to 'feeling' my way around the device's capabilities. The documentation that came with the device is somewhat lacking, but support from HP has been excellent. I should also recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing an iPAQ2210 also purchase additional memory in the form of a Compact Flash card. 256MB will only set you back about £40 and will give plenty of storage capacity.

The iPAQ h2210 is a class-beater. For £370 (including VAT), nothing compares to it.
