EASY READ REVIEW
I am a 18 year old girl with the HTC Touch Diamond. I have this phone on contract, and I am paying £30 a month for unlimited text messages and 400 minutes, however on pay as you go this phone will set you back about £350. At the end of my 18 month contract I will have spent £540 without the money I have spent going over my contract, however I will apparently get half of this money back.
In my opinion the HTC Touch Diamond is not worth the money. I wish I had picked something isn't completly touch screen and with a little more quality.
The look of the phone itself is quite modern and sleek which contours on the back which are slightly raised- however this in itself can cause problems as when I am using the phone when it is flat down on the table it rocks back and forth!
I find the buttons on screen are too small to touch with my fingers (I managed it after a while) therefore the use of the pen is necessary which can be inconvinient at times as you can imagine. Losing the pen is also quite easy as it is not attached to the phone like seen with the LG range, however it does come with a spare one.
The basic outlay of the phone is quite hard to use, a lot of my friends are baffled on how to turn it on/use it etc but once again you do become use to it.
The applications such as the word applications are so unecessary on this phone, even if it is meant to be a "business" phone. The screen is simply too small and the use of excell or powerpoint cannot be seen on such a small screen.
I got this phone in November and already the outward appearence is suffering. The buttons are coming away at the corners and people keep asking me why I still have the protective screen on, and I have to explain that it is actually the plastic that is coming away!
I find the battery is not too
Overall an inconventional phone, even for a business man, especially for an 18 year old girl. I shall definitley be looking elsewhere next time I chose a phone.
Summary: overpriced phone with little appeal to most
