I have tried and tested a lot of mobile phones in my quest for the perfect mobile, before settling with my HTC Magic. I did however have a week with the HTC Touch Diamond 2. On first unboxing, the build quality is awesome. This is a very solid and well made phone, with some weight to it. The first power-on was equally impressive. Having had both an HTC Diamond and a Sony Xperia X1, I decided to buy the Diamond 2 as it comes with a free upgrade to windows mobile 6.5 as soon as it's released. The current user-interface is great, with slight improvements on the old diamond UI. There are tabs along the bottom you can slide along to acces time, contacts, weather, stocks, photos and music. HTC has also decided to do without more ugly generic windows mobile interface by removing the normal start menu and making one of its own ad also by having a customised settings menu, although the normal one is still accessible.
