Advantages: Open source, Lots can be done to improve it and alter it, a good all round internet tablet

Disadvantages: Lacks flash support, small internal memory

I bought this a year ago and it has never left my side it is an ammazing tool that will never let you down with what you need it to do.

First a bit of background on the nokia 770 it is a linux based web tablet. Its operating system is Nokias maemo OS2006. This operating system was released as open source so people can develop there own programs and add ons for it and share them with the rest of the world. This has turned it in to more than a web tablet it can now be a media player for almost all video or music types, a security testing tool for networks or wireless hotspots, or just an all round PDA.

The whole layout of the nokia 770 is very easy to use and can be changed to suit how you want it to look and feel. The setup of the device is quick and easy when you first power it up and it also has lots of phone types for bluetooth internet via a mobile phone when a wireless hotspot is not available. It is a really flexable device so it can be used for most jobs you want it to do. The whole device is reasonably sized and will display most websites properly in full screen mode. It can be bought with a gps system to turn it in to a sat nav system so you can find your way to where you are going with no problems. The battery life on it is ammazing you can get up to a week off the battery if you dont connect to wifi otherwise with constant wifi and web browseing you can get about 4 hours out of it

A few downsides to the device are the lack of internal memory only totaling 64mb so you are limited to what you can have on it but you can expand it with mmc cards to allow you plenty of more space.another problem is that it cant support anything above flash 5 but there are modifications that can be done to change this to the newer flash versions so you can use sites like you tube and google videos.

Summary: All in all it is the best internet tablet I own and I take it everywhere for most of the jobs i do.
