Advantages: Playing Sim City on the train while all your friends are stuck with Snake
Disadvantages: Bulky
I got my XDA II a few months ago now, before the XDAIIi and XDAIIs came out. In short I'm very happy with my purchase, not only does it do all the cool phone functions I want but It also does a load of really cool pocket PC stuff.
So here's Tom's list of fun things to do with an XDAII:
Firstly try out http://www.handango.com, you can download a bunch of cool games and software straight away and pay online. I got Age of Empires and Sim City there. Two nice games which you can play on the go.
Not willing to pay any more money? Try out http://www.tucows.com, they have a variety of shareware and freeware products that you can either have for free or with limited trials. I got a bunch fo arcade style games from there and some additions to the software.
Fun software I found on tucows.com include picture editing software (it's fun to draw moustaches on the people you've just taken a picture of with the XDAII's modest camera), a lovely little timer so I know how long I've been boiling that egg for (the XDA can replace ever other gadget you ever had!) and, yep, some more games.
You can also find some writing software that allows you to write more easily. There's software that blows the keyboard up to the size of the screen with only a single line preview of what you're typing. This means you can type with your hands rather than the silly little stick.
So try out those websites, and remember that the XDA can do so much more with the right software :)
Summary: Get more software for your XDA2 to make the most of its potential
