Advantages: Small, Long Battery Life, Looks good, Very Functional
Disadvantages: It probably won't give us world peace.
If it wasn't for the fact that my Fiancee reminds me to get up in the morning and make a difference to the world I'd have to solely rely on this little beauty to do it for me. And that wouldn't be a bad thing, because it's more than capable of handling the job. The Palm IIIe is superb at what it does. Which is organise. This is NOT a replacement for your desktop, your laptop or your fiancee... it's an organizer. If you try to write emails on it you'll end up frustrated, irritated and the most angry red faced person on the train. You enter things into it using hand-writing. And for those of you who don't know this yet, that can be a rather slow and laborious task. It CAN be quick too though, in the correct hands.... which mine aren't. The data capacity of this device isn't really an issue. Though only supplied with 2MB of storage space this is offset by the free cradle to link it up to your PC and an excellent, if basic, suite for further use there. Battery life is a bummer if you use the backlit feature lots, otherwise this is duracell bunny friendly. The IR port is cool to chat with other Palms out there and the extra software which can use this as a universla remote is groovy as well... pity it doesn't come with it though. Shareware is dropping out the sky like rain for this thing as well so you won't really have to ru out and buy commercial software for every task you have. If you want a PDA get this, its nice and cheap... if you want a laptop save your pennies and get a laptop.
