Advantages: Large screen, very easy to use

Disadvantages: becomes hot during charging

I am very very luck in how i got my TX. It was two week before the launch was due and i was looking to get a hand held computer. So i took a trip down to curry's i think it was and asked to take a look at what they had in stock. Luckily it was a young work experience chap who hadn't worked there very long, he showed my to the glass case where they were held and it immediately grabbed my eye with the blue tint and huge screen. And i asked him how much it was. And he replied "im not quite sure mate, one minute" and so he came back and told me that he didn't know because that's the only one they have in stock. I asked if i could buy this display model (blissfully unaware that it wasn't even launched yet) and the chap said yes. I got to the counter and i asked how much it would be and he replied with "err i dunno, £180?" so i gave him the money went home and looked up this amazing piece of kit. 2 weeks early and at a bargain price? Brilliant. I did of course phone curry's and they told me not to worry, which was great news. Anyway so sorry about that. To the review.

-- Looks --
The T|X looks sleek and sophisticated with an ultra slim design and blue tint to the body. The large screen is the main focal point of the T|X and it doesn't fail to impress on looks, it fits the rest of the T|X nicely. The four function buttons and the 8-way directional pad add to the sleekness by keeping with the futuristic look.

-- Functionality --
I've had mine since 2 weeks before its launch and its still going strong. Also unlike nearly anything else on the market today this can play songs in full 320 Kbps. And also play quite high quality movies with very little quality loss. The built in Wi-Fi makes this great for checking emails even while out and about, it also means that with a touch of a button you can open up addit, addit is an app store with hundreds of apps available to download. The bluetooth connectivity is also great for transferring files to and from any device with a connection. I must say though that useual Palm to mobile phone transfers are sometimes slow and can take a long time just to transfer 1MB.

-- Price --
well £200? That is a fantastic deal. I dont think that you could find any other Mobile device this good for that. I have owned this AND an iphone and even though i cant make direct calls from this, i still use this over the iphone.

-- The battery --
Well, even after all this time i can still get at least 5-6 hours out of this. If you are just listening to music you can expect 4+ hours movies 3:30+ hours. no activity 7+ hours. I have noticed though that the T|X does become Hot while charging and you would have to be careful not to charge it for too long

-- Conclusion --
Its a fantastic machine, i am dearly hoping that they release a T|X v2 so that i can upgrade. But please, if you are looking for a stylish , modern and fast hand held PC take a look at the T|X
