Many users of PDAs will go on forever telling you how they could never get along without it, and how wonderful it is. That is very understandable. However, these machines are not magic wands that will do everything. Unlike the WindowsCE machines, the Psion does not try to be a mini-PC. Rather, it does those things that you actually need from a ... Read the complete review

Some time ago I arranged for 8 of these to be purchased for the company I worked with. I had to test one when they arrived before handing them out and really didn't want to part with it. The software included, though not WIN compliant, will synch very well with Office apps via the synch app. Data can be transferred easily from A -> B with the ... Read the complete review

When I first got my Psion Series 5, I thought that £430 was a lot of money for a personal organiser. After I worked my way through the (not so good) instruction manuel, I was quite impressed. I have found out so many more uses for the computer since browsing the web, and I now use it linked to my Siemens S25 colour mobile, so that I can ... Read the complete review

I bought my Series 5 about 2 years ago now. Although I am impressed overall I have one or two reservations. The screen is hard to read, the backlight drains the batteries so much that I hardly use it and the modem was expensive to buy and the connection at the back is very unstable. I would say buy one, but don't pay through the nose. Get ... Read the complete review

The Psion series 5, may be small, but it is powerfull, and how powerfull exactly is it? Well with a touch screen and 8Mb of memory, its enough for the everyday user to store his addresses, phone numbers, documents, finances, and loads of those exciting hidden extras. But it is lacking in some departments, for example, it evidently does not have a ... Read the complete review

Psion 5mx The Psion 5mx is the progidy of the Series 5 - Psion took the Series 5, ironed out the initial problems, improved a few things, and released it with a jumped up spec and some new software. So, the question has to be, is this release worth it, and, now that the Series 7 is out, should you be buying one? The answer is a ... Read the complete review

My 5MX was a replacement for an appalling Casiopea running CE so it came as no surprise that I was immediately impressed straight out of the box. The screen is very clear and the keyboard as good as it could be given the size. I feel the most significant feature is the fast data file operating system, sadly lacking on other similar proced ... Forget your laptop? Many business-people have done just that, due to their new Psion 5MX... The 5MX differs from the previous 5 version in more ways than one. The main difference being the extra RAM - this baby now packs a whopping 16mb, which will store thousands and thousands of contacts, schedules and much more besides. If this ... This is a little computer which you can take just about anywhere! It has a word processor, phone direactory and a lot more! It is made by the company the really does rule the PDA world. There are few bad things like if you change the battery and take more than a minute you lose everything. Trust me that really isn't funny! It is possible to ... Read the complete review

I'm been a proud owner of my Psion 5MX for nearly a year now. It is quite amazing what it can do. Not only does it have a spreadsheet and a word processor as well as a telephone book as you would expect. It also has Internet access with a mobile phone or modem. The down side is that the Internet access can be quite costly as the modem is ... Read the complete review
