I got a bit fed up with my Samsung SGH-i600 as I found it a bit on the slow side and the lack of a touch screen limited what I can do on the Windows Mobile operating system. I selected the the Samsung SGH-i900 (aka: OMNIA) to be worthy of becoming the replacement. It's supposed to be an "iPhone killer" and similarly, has a full touch screen interface. I bought my Omnia on eBay for £366 to avoid increasing my contract cost with Orange. I threatened to leave orange so they gave me a £15 deal with 750 minutes talk time and unlimited texts but normally, if you were to get the Omnia with Orange, you would need to be on a £45 a month, 18 month contract ... I got this phone because I had a good contract offer with Vodafone and while I really wanted an iPhone this was dubbed as the next best thing, the 'iPhone killer'. It's not. Compared to the iPhone this handset is very limited. The touchscreen created the biggest problems. It is unresponsive and slow, and very awkward. The stylus is available but I hate using them because they are fiddly and not really worth is with this phone. The battery life on this phone is terrible - it never seems to stay fully charged for more than five minutes even when let to run down then charged over night. When I was sold this phone in the shop I was told the Opera ... Read the complete review

Another touchscreen phone, the Samsung Omnia i900 also dubbed the Iphone killer, has arrived into the market. I have owned it for more than half a year now, and I must say it's not the Iphone killer if flashy games is what you are after. First let's talk about the specs. The Omnia runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 with 624 Mhz, and has a 3.2" wide QVGA screen (400x240). It comes in either black or white, 8GB or 16GB internet memory which is quite sufficient, but if that's not enough, it also has external memory capabilities with a MicroSD card. The phone comes equipped with a 5MP pixel camera which is quite good, but hard to use in low-light ... Read the complete review

This phone was a must for me, i took this phone out on contract from T-Mobile while i was working there. I got it on an 18 month contract with web and walk total £50 per month. the choice for me was either buy the iPhone cos its a phone and has games, so i would not have to carry a nintendo ds around with me or buy the samsung omnia. The omnia does much moe than the iPhone. For example the iPhone has a 2 meg camera where by the Omnia has a 5 meg camera and has video calling. In regards to looks the phone is hot hot hot, its slick modern black shell feels lovely and smooth. I got a case for mine from the elephant and castle for £4 which was a ... Read the complete review

After reading some of the other reviews i feel i must write my own. This is one of the most amazing devices i have used. It's like having the internet in your pocket, as well as your emails, texts, phone calls, some games, media such as music, videos.. the list goes on. First off I chose this phone over the iPhone which i was originally looking at. The specs are overwhelmingly better than Apples product. Camera of 5mp compared to Apples 2mp. The Omnia also has support for different photographic modes and video support with motion stabilizing - which may i add the iPhone does not. The storage. OK so iPhone comes with 32GB - I didn't know this originally. ... Read the complete review
