Advantages: windows, internet explorer, different keypads, 5 megapixel camera

Disadvantages: pen hangs loose, battery life

I'm a great fan of flashy phones, there is nothing I love more than waving my new trendy mobile in my friends face. However after the release of the Apple I-Phone I found being a bit flash a bit hard. I got my Samsung Omnia in November on an Orange Contract. The phone itself is a great shape, and very light to hold, it also fits nicely in to the back of jean pockets. However negatively I dislike that there is no internal compartment for the Pen. The pen just hangs to the side of the phone, which I am 100% sure that one day I will lose that pen for that reason. The phone itself offers a variety of different types of keypads, ones which you have to use the pen, others that you do not, it even offers a QWERTY keyboard, and a feature where you can write by hand with the pen and the phone translates what you write into a text message format, which is great. The phone was rated by the channel five TV show the gadget show and was rated as better than the I-phone due to battery life, however I do find myself charging my Omnia everyday and I do not use the internet or camera so it's difficult to see where all the charge goes. There are only two games on the phone being Solitaire and an annoyingly addictive game named Bubble breaker which I cannot stop playing. The internet is fast and the screen is great, alike the I-phone I believe the internet facilities are great. The Omnia also supports the Windows Format which is great and useful for those on the go.
However a few quick negative issues I have had include: after locking the phones keypad my volume has changed from silent to loud which is frustrating, and the camera function does not always want to load. However very positively the Omnia has never Froze on me which am great when compared to the stories I hear about friends LG touch screens.
I think the Omnia is a great phone though and is available on some very good contracts so if available I would recommend.

Summary: every phone has its faults but overall a lovely phone to have.
