-Basics-
To look at the MDA Vario II you have a very stylish and sleek mobile phone. Looking at my phone you have a large screen (2½” by 2”) in full clear colour with only minimal buttons underneath it, give it a gentle push to the side a full QWERTY keyboard is revealed with easy to use buttons whilst on the back you have a 2 mega pixel camera with a flash and mirror for self portraits. On the edges the phone has various short-cut buttons, a limitless scroll wheel, a memory card slot (microSD) and a stylus holder.
Within the phone you have the basic platform of Windows Mobile 5, and within this you get a large amount of features including; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, MSN messenger, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, an organiser, and many more. All of these are easy to use and can either be used by the touch screen or the keyboard. The phone itself has GPRS, 3G, HSDPA, wireless internet the ability to make video calls making it top of the range when it comes to surfing the net. Another thing to point out is the ease at which upon when sliding out the keyboard the screen changes form portrait to landscape. This phone also has the ability to make video calls although I have not tried this as I don't know anyone else with a phone able to make them.
-Personal Opinion-
After stumbling across this mobile phone on the net I decided that it was the phone for me and when the time came for me to upgrade I had no doubts that this was the phone I wanted. I received my phone and I wasn’t disappointed; getting to grips with the basics was easy and I could easily make phone calls, check emails and send messages. After familiarising myself with the phone I was able to easily type in word documents and use some of the more advanced features that the phone has to offer. I have had my phone for a few months now and have recently got a memory card for it which allows me to use the phone to a fuller advantage.
-Price-
This varies depending upon the contract and where you get the phone from. With a small amount of searching the net I was able to find the phone free on T-Mobile Flext35, however you can get a lower contract if you are willing to pay a bit (around £100) for the phone.

Size – I am unsure as to whether I would be comfortable carrying it around in my pocket.
-Recommended-
I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a business mobile as that is what it primarily is. But I would also encourage personal users not to over look it as it is well worth it for a personal mobile phone it has plenty of features to keep you occupied when bored.
Summary: Great phone with so many features that you will be stuck to find something that this phone can't do!
