My machine was running very slowly. I bought a I portable external drive as it was small and light so I could carry it with me (very important as my laptop goes everywhere with me). I thought it would take ages to fill. I was wrong! I download lots of films and music etc which took up most of my memory but lets face it I don t need them with me 24/7. so I had a look on the web and found the freecom website. Western Digital Elements USB 2.0 drive WDE1U5000 500 GB ... ordered this item recently to save my audio and video files to from my laptop to keep them safe. It was ordered from amazon and their service was as always outstanding. The hard dive is a very simple to use USB plug and play system. It loads almost insantateously with the computer and allows quick drag and drop copying. The only down sides to this product are: 1. Actual space 465GB 2. Copying Files to it takes along time 3. The machine becomes very hot to the touch when copying files to it. 4. Does make some noise when copying, but in comparison to other models, this is normal.
