Buffalo Drivestation 500 GB ... hard drive is EPIC! buffalo have created an amazing hard drive for the money and space. lets start on the aesthetics, it looks decent with a curvatious top and bottom, there is a light down the middle of the drive which looks really good at night. The drive is also good because it makes almost no noise, theres a noise as the drive boots up but apart from that its completely silent. There is no on/off button the drive is very clever it witches off itself and vice versa. the reliability of this drive is the best i have experienced. i bought this drive five months ago and it hasnt crashed on me yet (touch wood) but its more reliable than western digital or seagate which... Western Digital My Passport Studio Portable WDMT3200 320 GB ... my laptop was choc-a-bloc full of rubbish and in dangerously short memory supply, I decided that it was time for a clear out. The problem was that my clear out consisted mostly of documents and I was still left with a nearly full memory. I decided to buy a hard drive and I saw that these were on special in Fnac and decided to buy one at the reasonable price of 84 euros. I have to say that I am not really up on these sort of computer things so it was a quick glance at the memory size, how pretty it was and whether it was compatible. Seagate External Desktop Drive 1 TB ... bought this a while ago to take films and music to uni with me and save carrying hundreds of discs. I have had it a couple of months now and I am yet to find a single flaw. It isn t too big. It looks good on the desk. It s quiet and stays cool during even long periods of use. The 1Tb size fits as much as anyone realistically uses and more than most so you are never worried about running out when you need it. One slight drawback is the need for an external power supply although this is true of any desktop hard drive and isn t too much of a problem. It connects with a USB 2.0 interface allowing data to be written to it at speeds of 30Mbps. The read speed is greater than...
